I still get random people wandering in

so I built a skybox

and a platform for my bedroom cause I dont like the feeling of being boxed in by walls

I have a 1536 sq m parcel in Vine and live way up in the sky so as not to disturb my neighbours.

And an earlier incarnation:

Ok, here's a few pics from the home I share with my partner.

We live in the sky, but try to make the ground somewhat appealing. I reduced draw distance to hide the surrounding buildings and debree.

This is the "Ulv cave". Ulv is my land-owner alt, he's happy with just a cave and a pillow to sit on. You see the neighbors castle wall in this pic. They keep their land nice, i hope they stay. :]

Taken from the upper corner of the skygarden.

from the other side..

Some more..

We have tree stumps and a few pillows scattered around..

There is a cave under the garden. Walk behind the wrong tree and *boom*.

We also have bunnies and donuts for sitting around. They are placed on a "lawn" outside the skygarden.

This house is in the lovely paradise Queck! Or actually about 400 meters up! Its a skycondo! Really nice, and it looks like a hamburger on the outside hahaha. The Inside is one big room seperated by stuff.

From afar look.
http://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu57/AA_SL_Creations/House_001.png

The porch (Don't mind the random box thingy there... hahaha)
http://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu57/AA_SL_Creations/House_Porch_001.png

Living room (You'll see a crib too off to the side, my Child Av lives here too)
http://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu57/AA_SL_Creations/House_LivingRoom_001.png

Hot tub (Or just a bath... hehehe)
http://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu57/AA_SL_Creations/House_Hottub_001.png

Bedroom... the curtains close around the bed... which is awesome. Also you'll see my "Don't censor SL" poster (Yeah, fight the power!)
http://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu57/AA_SL_Creations/House_Bedroom_001.png

The front windows are also the door, which can open and close, and have a one way option where I can see the outside and no one can see in. Also the roof is a one-way. I can see out into the heavens. Nobody can see in. SO PRIVATE :D. Also, most of this stuff isn't mine... I got the place furnished, but did some furnishing of my own. Like the bed (not the curtain), most of the stuff on the porch and other stuff...

This is my homestead,we live on the boat
We have roads around the island and race our cars and bikes around, there is also a high mountain road

The last picture is the main staircase in the boat

The boat inside is very elegant and of course you would furnish it to your tastes but i find the boat has much more room than a house

If I bring my boat over and sink your boat do I get to keep your Island?

I'm homeless.

Though I do get, once an hour, a message that looks like this:
The object 'Animania Black Swan Deluxe Male v1.2' has sent you a message from Second Life:
Animania Black Swan Deluxe Male v1.2 seems to be lost at Allana/<169.83524, 116.30578, 20.12000> .. trying to return to home...

= Animania Black Swan Deluxe Male v1.2 is owned by Lexxi Gynoid
= http://slurl.com/secondlife/Allana/169/116/20

I think the poor little swan is stuck in a ban line. But I can't help him :(

Home is set to the platform in the sky over the forum hangout. Nothing up there is mine.

The black swan mentioned above, along with his black swan mate (though she was checking out the white swan last night), two white swans and one baby birdie live near the bull at the hangout. Along with a trout. That jumps. I used to own that land, but do not any longer.

Sure if you can sail it over.
That's quite a boat you have there,it's too bad sl was'nt advanced enough where we could cruise SL in our boats everywhere

I have had several homes, but unfortunately I don't have pics of a couple of them.

This was my first serious home:

And this my second, first while building it, then the finished result:

Then something radically different inbetween:

And my current home (or more like studio), first outside, then inside with sliding walls and then inside without sliding walls

But mostly I need the prims for my massively cluttered picture garden-

I'm impressed, the odd interconnected trees, framing empty space, characters in flowing clothes, a vast natural setting, damaged, and a single obvious piece of high technology... you've found Whelan's Muse if nothing else, or the language it speaks in. would love to come by and see it up close, I don't think you give yourself enough credit.

Weston's gallery is well worth a visit.

Some really intriguing homes here! I adored the Japanese-themed treehouse! Beautifully executed, yet something that would only exist in SL.

OMG! so many fabulous pictures. you all have such wonderful places you call home. i LOVE! :)

i sort of have 3 places i hang out. MOST of the time, it's here in my sky workshop

and if not there, then i can DEFINITELY be found wandering somewhere around in the mall. there is an endless amount of little things that seem to constantly require my attention.

i don't have a picture of them, but i have 3 Kittenz cats roaming and they are always getting in to trouble and needing to be rescued. they are more work than my RL cats. LOL

i do also have a "residence", but it's not typical.
here's an overview of my Celtic Steampunk Fairyland

continued:
there is a spiral ramp that leads waaay down to the underground:

once down there:

no beds. just a floating bubble chair and a few animated posing settings (pot, bucket, mushrooms, fire pit...) i enjoy being here. it's relaxing.

I do not live in SL
I live in the Real World.

I do have a virtual store in SL, and used to have a few different virtual homes in SL over the last 3 years.

I do not worry about a place to sleep, or a kitchen to cook in, or a couch to sit on, all is good as it is for me :)

(besides I never got into the roleplaying or such in SL, and never had parties at my house or anything like that)

I used to have a club though (still have it, all packed up in my inventory) as well as a games arcade (made by Seven, same one who makes the 7seas stuff. which I also have LOL)

Here is one of the places I call home, although I spent most of my time in the workshop above Talon Faire:

I love this thread. I've been living in the same sim for almost two years now and it's a small community of about 7 sims with a great estate owner. My first place was a tiny little cave and this is currently my 3rd treehouse which has three levels and a pool. Pics are crap and doesn't do the sim justice due to my crap graphics card:

There are way better pics of the sims here: http://silentsfolly.ning.com/photo/photo/slideshow

** oops sorry about the huge pics

My estate in Caledon Highlands. This replaced the original (and much smaller) Victoria that I got from West Trade Imports. With decorations, it pretty much uses up every available prim on my 4096. :)
