I'm pretty happy with my choice as, it's probably as close to my real names as I'm going to get without using my real name..

I've got way to much in inventory to go to an alt. But if I could change it I would maybe change the lastname to be seawell.. I like Tarina though. ; ) I saw a mentor the other day with Terina but I do not think I've ever seen or been in contact with a Tarina. remove T add an s and b and thats my real name.. clever?

I do wonder how many blunts the monkies smoke before listing the last names on registration though.

I still love my name, I think it has a nice ring to it. I kept my first name short for practical reasons. I thought if people would be typing it, I'd like it to be short so they'd always use my full name. A friend still calls me An sometimes though, which I don't mind.

I noticed actually that 2 or more people tried to register the same name after me, but putting a number after it. Annoyed me a tiny bit, I don't really like that you're able to add numbers and odd characters to a name. (Or maybe you can't anymore, not sure?) Then you can just recreate the same name over and over. I do very much identify with my name. I couldn't bear to start over on another account for example, or look after several avs like others manage to do.

BTW, my name choice has no bearing on my dessert preference.

Mine has :P
I like my name and never regretted it. After having a long, and unspellable for most people, name in another game for years, I was sure I wanted my name to be short when I created in SL. I had orginally chosen another first name, but I didnt think it went with any of the last names when I created. There were only cakes and desserts avaible back then. But since I love Tiramisu, that wasnt really a problem :P So then it became Eva. The only problem I ever had is that people with good reason think I am italian and start IMing me in italian.
And I can live with that.

Now I respond to Eva in real life too, which is confusing to ppl who know me, but not as Eva ...

no.. I make other people regret it

Yeah, you know, I think I do too...

But then I have met every single Dane that's in Second Life, and that has been a very pleasant thing. Lovely people in Denmark! Friendly, kind, and very willing to forgive me for being just another American...

/me smiles.

What's to regret?

Jerboa was an actual nickname I had for a while in rl. (don't ask...it's a long story!)

Besides, It's memorable.

What surprised me was that I'm not the only Jerboa out there. There are five or six others.

Then again, I'm sure they are but pale imitations of the real thing.

Yes and no, which seems to be the concensus here. I was also annoyed with the last name list, but the name "Atom" I have used way before Secondlife. I even had name tags with that name at most of the retail jobs that put me through school. The last name was just the one available that did't sound stupid, or so I thought so 3 years ago now. The only way I would change it would be if I could somehow change it to my real name, which I would do in an instant if it was an option. Some of us are here for the long haul, and pretty much use SL as an extention of a previously established design business, I am one of those people.

I had a feeling that I'd like SL, so spent a while figuring out my name. I'm happy with it and always will be. :)

I am very happy with my name- I love cats, and I love England- so it's perfect. People do assume that I am from England though- and then I tell them no, I'm not....and I am also not a cat.

No- It suits me- I have been Amaranthim almost longer than my given name so it was a natural for SL.

My ears do not perk up when I hear my name in real life. Most of the time I forget that my last name in SL is Slade, unless I'm around another Slade. And Soji is my cat's name. Or I'm the cat, and it is my real life name. I've forgotten now and have become confused.
