1) Put I have to place the "bit" on the ground, right? I've lost too many "bits" that way;
2) I do not really have a desire to "screw the pooch"
:)

Where's your sense of adventure? :p

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I do think that a sense of adventure is something sacred... :D :D

Yes, but sometimes it is too sacred . .. not something to be used, but something to be put up on a small rock. So that Indy can try to steal it. And then ravish me.

/me blinks thoughtfully.

You know, if we put a battered hat on Trout, and got him a haircut, he'd look kinda like Harrison Ford...

Was "Exit to Eden" considered a Romance novel?

Never read it...I tend towards writers like Charles DeLint, Mercedes Lackey, and Patricia McKillip, with a little Stephen King and Laurell K. Hamilton thrown in for spice. :)

Some of my favorites, too, Ann. May I suggest you add Lois McMaster Bujold to your list? A good starting point is either "Shards of Honor" (if you can find it in print) or "Cordelia's Honor", which includes the sequel.

I've read and liked several Stephen King books. And I've read Brothers in Arms by Lois McMaster Bujold. I have read short stories by Delint (I think) and Lackey.

So, how readily available are animations and bondage'y add-ins for the Deviant bed? It seems like a well regarded system, but the choices aren't necessarily all to my taste.

You can put any animation obtained anywhere in SL into any Deviant device, and they support animations for up to 6 avatars at once. If you have a set of poseballs you can pull the anims out of those and drop them into the Deviant device, along with a notecard with position/rotation settings. SexGen, on the other hand, is not designed to let you add your own animations- you're supposed to get their upgrade packs.

Also, much of the Deviant furniture is tintable, at least to a degree.

Wow Lexxi! Quite a list. :) If you want to try some edgy Horror, give Richard Laymon a try. Lots of graphic sex and violence. Some vampire fiction, but most of it is "real life" wacko's terrorizing innocents. I would recommend Island to start with. It is a really good read. Four women and three men shipwrecked on a deserted island..........along with a killer. The twist on the last page is worth the price of admission.

Perhaps we should have a Forum Book Club Thread....

Has thoughts of a flute...........

There was a flute, in the beginning anyway. It seemed to have disappeared though.......

It might have fallen into the Sousaphone......

Short stories? - Roadl Dahl...!

Hunter S Thompson: Few can make the english language sing like he did..

Nick Hornby: If you ever want to know how men really think.

Philip Roth: What a range...

Bernard Conrwell: Just fun stuff!

Jumpa Lahiri: Beautiful stories.. captures the immigrant experience so vividly.

.. and Pauline Regae... just to stay in topic

Not only derailed, but distracted, dysfunctional, and fragmented beyond redemption.

I'd hate to do a tree diagram of this thing.

But hasn't it been a fun Friday? :D

One of the best Friday threads ever. Unlike Oryx's death by PowerPoint, I am experiencing death by "I can't log in to my voicemail". Come on 5pm!!

Geez - a guy goes out to get a burrito for lunch and look what he comes back to. Besides a mild bellyache. Who invented the soccer ball sized burrito anyway? Mission-style my ass. That thing was sumo-style and I've never been able to turn down a challenge.

/me gets out his battered fedora and bullwhip and prepares to play 6 degrees of Godwin's Law. Lindal posted about sex animations which caused someone to mention ravishing which caused Lexxi to invite ravishment from Trout dressed like Harrison Ford who was in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom where he fought...

NAZIS!!!!

Wheeee!!! I win.
