I've seen a lot of talk about under-age use, but what about over-age? Would it bother you to find out the stud/studlette that you're bonking is really an 80 year-old geezer?

Should there be a Senior Grid for folks over a certain age? And what would be the cut-off age?

I'm just asking because I might be getting close to that age. And I think I hear footsteps coming after me.

Absolutely not! Other than legalities, age is of no concern whatsoever. Although, I will admit I ran as fast as my little pixel feet could carry me when I encountered a 20-something once. Other than that, older is better- life experience, knowledge- I mean hell, it's not like you are engaged sexually all the time- if you cannot converse, what is the point?

I myself won't have a problem with that, on the scenario you present.
We're all adults, and there is no upper border as to that.
Child, minors, are cut of the main grid, because of some social aspects manifesting inside the adult grid. (and their brains aren't ready for it yet, even if they don't know it themselves, we as adult know that, from our own experiences, and looking back to our youth)

I endorse it even, that "elders" are too interacting on these kind of platforms, it's kind of healthy even. (social interaction, typing keeps the motoristic characteristics in shape, the total doing stimulates the brain etc etc.. and no it's not only ment as a argument for seniors, it also applies to other ages)

you are as old as you are mentally, fysical age isn't the judge on wether you are or aren't allowed to do something.
That's why i said "elders" (read the quotes) :)

anyway, have a good time on the grid. And who knows, you find mr. or mrs. right here (if seeking for it). since you brought it up yourself, hehe..

all in all:
just enjoy, and don't worry about your rl fysical age.. it's totally not important in life. (either virtual lifes as real lifes.)

it's about WHO you ARE

I'm all for this. The Internets is for young people, no one over 25 should be allowed to use it. I am going to throw my computer out the window.

lol.. you must be in sarcasm mode, or joking around ;)

anyway, i keep my computer, and use it for entertainment and knowlegde. no matter what my physical age is, as long as my brains and muscles (for using the mouse and keyboard) work good enough, i'm using computers in life. :)

I don't see any reason for an upper age limit to SL membership. For some senior citizens SL might offer a chance for escapism to rediscover their youth again, in avirtual sense. If I live to be old and SL is still here then, I'll probably still be the same I am now.

We can have an old folks sim for old folks to gripe about those meddling kids and their blingy 200 prim hair, and reminisce about the good old days before Windlight.

You're all very broad-minded and I applaud you for it.

I'll admit that I was a little creeped-out by my voluptuous and beautiful neighbor who was a self-described "older woman*". The dichotomy between avatar and user kept popping up in my head, interfering with my ability to just accept her as portrayed.

And yes, I understand that this could be said of any of us here in SL.

*Turned out her idea of "older" was 50ish... pish!

Yes! Cutoff should be 30 or when their palm crystal changes to red, like the crystals in Nautilus City, whichever happens first.

You should totally try for Carousel. I know you can make it!
