From: Cato Badger How can you be a troll when you are obeying LLs instructions on the use of the forums? Everyone else that has commented on my entirely justified posts are the trolls who are derailing the thread. AR'd for inflammatory comments and trolling. Placed on Ignore. Thank you for playing, don't let the door bump your ass on the way out.

I have to presume that you have never read the Forum Guidelines and as a consequence you are not aware that I am directly quoting Linden Labs instructions. Resident Moderators Selection Criteria: - Must be both an Second Life Resident and forum participant for at least 3 months - Write thoughtful, constructive posts - Have clean Linden Rapsheet (no warnings/suspensions) - Be peacemakers and know how to use humor to diffuse not attack - Be warm and welcoming to fellow Residents from all walks of Second Life - Clear from past participation that they value positive discussion and will contribute to the overall tone of the Second Life Forums You fail all of those, maybe not the rap sheet one in this new avi, so who has made a fool of themselves?

From: Cato Badger How can my behavior be intolerant when I am just following the instructions of LL who own these forums and dictate how they should be used? I am not intolerant because I neither endorse nor condemn the standards they impose, nor the morality of those who transgress.
"The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing" Edmund Burke I suppose you're the judge on who's evil in this world? Let me guess, anyone who disagrees with you is evil, right? Go away.

I am afraid that you may have made a fool of yourself. Cato, why are you doing this to this thread? Do you have any concept at all of the value that this group provides to the Residents of SL? We save people literally hundreds of hours of research or lost opportunities every day and you are making (1) a fool of yourself in front of a group of *very* experienced and respected SL'ers and (2) a mess of what should be a thread that future male avatars could just print off to use as a shopping list. Now, I know that if I put you on Ignore I don't have to read your drivel, but I don't know if I'm going to see it when I finally print it out to go shopping. Also, the typical newbie will not know about ignore and will come away with a sense that the RA Forum is full of bickering and is of no value. Please take this somewhere else, like WOW, Opensim or someplace. Respectfully, J

While I do not tend to visit these forums often, an acquaintance has shared with me this thread in particular. Those who know me from the SLUniverse forums, know that I tend to be polite at my replies to posts and new thread and that I do not, often, curse. In this case I will make an exception and ask you nicely... ...to go fuck yourself with a rusty screwdriver. Have a good day

From: Cato Badger 1. Intolerance Combating intolerance is a cornerstone of Second Life's Community Standards. Actions that marginalize, belittle, or defame individuals or groups inhibit the satisfying exchange of ideas and diminish the Second Life community as whole. The use of derogatory or demeaning language or images in reference to another Resident's race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or sexual orientation is never allowed in Second Life. Moderators will decide whether the post is intolerant. Your opinions are not relevant to the topic. Desist or be ARd yourself. I wont desist AND you have also violated that same section of the TOS lol get a life man lol

From: Kyrah Abattoir Males are too afraid to be seen as gay to be fashionable enough.
Womens can look like anything.
Mens are afraid to be seen as anything else than mens. To a point, I have to agree....but it would be nice if there was an alternative to 'tatoo'd street thug / gorrilla / wasteland warrior' which seems to appeal to the younger set...

From: Jackie Silverfall Am I looking in the wrong places, or is this a case of inequality of the sexes? Thanks. Jackie There is a disparity if you are talking modern day mens fashions. Now if one does not mind dressing like the 90's (1890's that is), lots of nice mens formal wear shops around Caledon, New Babbage and Antiquity sims. Nothing like a nice formal suit, top hat and cravat.

I have to agree. Most men's clothing is either an attempt to be totally hardcore, or some period foppery, or rather lame attempts at RL classy clothes. There are a few good makers, but it is pretty tricky to find a good style for one's self that doesn't fall into the above. So many times I've thought about a female alt just to have a better shopping experience... Oh, this Cato character? Bonus-size lulz.

In the FWIW department, I have developed a fondness for men in kilts.

Has a nice line of various tartan kilts, montrose doublets with full decorations. Mr. Pearse does very nice work in the way of formal wear, including period-themed military uniforms.

I was actually refering to the more goth ones i have seen.

Most of the time I just wear my ripped jeans from HCT, my old black boots from Shiny Things, my nipple piercings. Shirts are optional, but I dig the prim jackets at C.H.A.O.S.
mmm, if you want some more gothic-esque stuff, look at Emo-tions (good stuff) and there is another really good one I can't remember.... lol... a lot of vendors carry both male and female lines... ahh, and I suppose Gothicatz is ok too, though I try to avoid them and Regrave because everyone goes there.
For a guy, once you find the boots, the jeans, and the hair, you don't change too often. *grins*
