Is this what is known as a bump?
Originally I only thanked the OP for giving me a job and a bunch of terrific residents (present and former) that I enjoy serving as estate manager and friend.
In RL I am grateful to have been raised by hard working loving parents... thankful for all the time I had with my father toward the end of his life.... for the brief time I had with my mom... for my siblings... for my husband... for his children who love me... for my step grandkids... for the fact that my stepson returned from his first deployment... my sweet kitties that nearly never leave my side... my dear friends including those who are not of this world anymore... for geese, hawks, mockingbirds (after all, it is a sin to kill a mockingbird), hummingbirds... ok, all birds... ok, all animals... ok, nature in general...
In SL I am grateful for all the good friends I have made... along with the funny fiends I have met... and the kindness...
and the my ability to overuse the ellipsis...

From: Raymond Figtree Thanks for the 46 positive posts here so far. And to the one who was able to find something negative to say in a thread like this, I look forward to your performance as the Forum Scrooge come Christmas. clears throat takes a shakesperean pose and pronounces.... 'Bah Humbug'

Yeah, I'm grateful for friends, but... well, they're kinda what you get when you're friendly to the right people. So in the spirit of Tweedledee, "contrariwise," some things I'm thankful for that I did nothing whatsoever to deserve: I'm grateful for Lindens. Honestly, as a group, I've never met a more helpful, well-meaning lot of folks with forbearance for immense insanity, usually under extreme conditions. Whatever we may say about the "Tao", the Lindens have a lot to do with making our Second lives livable. I'm grateful for the FIC. Somebody set the tone and made a world where creativity is what really counts, so the "oldbies" get some special thanks. And I'm grateful for n00bs. They bring fresh light every day, seeing our World through new avatar eyes. I learned a lot from n00bs.

Im thankful for all my friends on SL.. They each have a special place in my heart. One more then others though. he has been with me for all my time here almost a whole year and been through some tuff times and through some really good ones. I left my home in the US and moved to his country, a flight that I thought would never end. I arrived and met him face to face.
With a warm embrace and kind loving smiles.. Each day has been great. A great friend and loving soul, someone I hope to share the rest of my RL days with as well as my SL days .. I am greatful to have him in my life.
Thank you Raymond for making starting this.. I was not going to post. But why not once a year or so is ok I guess?
To everyone in SL.. Have a wonderful thankful day.. I hope all your days are happy ones, and your nights filled with love.

I do want to thank all the many friends I have made in the past year. Way too many to list and I wouldn't want to hurt any feelings by leaving anyone out. This past year has been a hell of a ride. I cannot imagine what the next will bring.

From: Gabby Handrick I also would like to join Raymond in mentioning how lucky we are to have Ava Glasgow in our midst. Even though we have never met in person she went above and beyond to help me obtain a new piece of land in an absolutely beautiful sim. I will not forget what she did for me. Awww, you guys are making me blush! As I told Gabby, my motives are usually selfish. I recently decided to sell off most of my mainland sim, and was fortunate to sell both quickly and mostly to end users who love the place as much as I do. Now I am thankful for having several wonderful new neighbors who are friendly and creative and just a really nice bunch of people.

There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

From: Deira Llanfair I am thankful for this thread that made me remember my grandmother, who always told me to "count my blessings". I remember sitting in the car in the driveway listening to Dodgers games with my grandma because it was the only radio that had good enough reception to pick up the station that broadcast them. That time is something I haven't been thankful for in years and years, but all of a sudden, I'm feeling pretty good about it. She never told me to count my blessings, but she did tell me to go get the bourbon every time the Dodgers won. Does that count?

RL:
I am thankful for my wonderful new girl, a steady job, my new promotion, my family that I plan on seeing next month for the first time in two years.
SL:
I am thankful for the sheer vastness of knowledge that can be obtained, (don't hate me) the onrez viewer that fixed that annoying edit appearance bug and threw in a web browser to top it off. The people that have grown close to me, even if some of them get in that bitchy-drop from friends list mood every once in a while.

Ah, so many things...
RL: I'm thankful for...
- My two glorious children, who somehow both made it safely out of the teen years and into college without getting pregnant, drug addicted, thrown in jail - or any other of a long list of negatives that could have happened. *crosses fingers*
- Having a job during the last 3 years that doesn't feel like work.
- The beautiful, landscaped complex of housing the city built outside my office this year so I no longer have a view of the county jail.
- My semi-new vehicle: even though it's in the shop (AGAIN) I am blessed to have the funds to bear the cost of the repair (again).
- My cozy home - small and unassuming, which has been filled for the last 20 years with love, laughter, and a never ending parade of kids and EVERY variety of pet.
- Being an "Empty Nester" and for the first Thanksgiving that I can remember, NOT HAVING TO COOK!! WHOOOOO!
SL:
-Picking up that New York Times at Border's Books almost two years ago and reading an article about something called "Second Life".
-My Avi - my little paper doll who's wardrobe, home and general life is SO damn interesting that I never get tired of playing with her.
-Friends made, jokes shared, derailed threads, and pie. For all this and more, I am Thankful.
