I usually just say I don't have any...which is true as I have very little in terms of Lindens on me. If anything, I'll try and steer peeps to random ZYNGO machines if they need quick money (provided they don't screw up playing ZYNGO) and that's pretty much it. (I can't really bring myself to beg for money--it's much more fun when the money you make comes from your own actions.)

My sl-aughter always asks for money and I give her whatever she wants. She's cool and at an age when I can speak to her. She is over 18 and looks over 18 so she is more like a spolied brat except she is lovely and sweet and much nicer than me.

If a person really looks liek they need money - or they sound pitiful and decepit - then I may give them some. I do it in real so why not here? I guess in sl they arent welfare cases but they're close to that if they need lindens. They're prolly got problems with booze or babies.

I have never had anyone ask me for money in SL. I've had people ask if they could set their home to my land, but never money. This differs greatly from RL. I get asked a couple times a year for money.

Rural Alaska has it's perks. Not a lot of people standing along the road at --20f/--28c begging for anything. I have to drive two hours to Anchorage to get hit up for money.

Aww I feel bad for your family member, but people can be so different. The other day, I saw a newbie arrive on my sim, with the newbie dotted dress and ponytail and black shoes, less than one day old. Well my sim is newbie friendly and I have lots of freebies and other helps; but 2 of my residents were setting up an exhibit of their racecars, that they race in SL at the time. I went over there to see if the newbie needed help and she was like NO!!! I don't NEED any help!! I just want to talk to these guys, can you go away now? I was like dang, ok, lol. The guys loved it of course, had themselves a groupie and stood and chatted with her for ages.
