I tried to be helpful by giving him the simple sum formula. It's not a pretty chart but it would get the job done. But he preferred to be a complete pissant and blame the program or us for his not figuring out what the hell he's doing.

I never bothered to read anything on Excel. Just picked it up from using it. MS Office is SO easy! :)

if i wanted to have a monthly total i'd just select the whole line. but i dont. i want a bar chart of daily sales. over a monthly period as i stated in the very first post.

This is clearly a deliberate attempt to generate yet another daft thread of monstrous length by means of deliberately aggressive responses, used to invite further sarcasm and jokery.

I find it disgraceful quite honestly and an abuse of the purpose of the Resident Answers forum. Were I to have a Congressperson I would write to them.

Out of curiosity, are you totaling your daily sales first and using that data to create the chart, or just trying to create it from the download?
