Last night in world someone offered me a manual on how to run 225 bots on one card :(

Too bad it wasn't "How to run 225 bots off a cliff" :p

with your attitude phil wich was really unprovoked for attacking the op, i went to have a look and it looks like you have 19 bots and an obvious alt on a mainland sim
Isn't it marvellous how my unprovoked attitude was so bad (which it was) when other people's unprovoked nastiness to me is not only approved of, but also joined in with? Bloody marvellous. Double standards? Naa... self-centeredness.

all my sympathies are pretty much gone with your land troubles
What land troubles? If you're refering to a question I asked about why the Time Dilation never reaches 1.0 even though the Total Frame Time was usually below 22ms, there were no land troubles at all. It was just a curiosity.

I have 20 bots up there, and there is no land trouble at all. No lag, and no whatever you care to think of. In fact, the sim is better since Havoc4. The Total Frame Time is usually in the teens, sim FPS is usally 45, and Time Dilation is mostly 1.0. It couldn't be better. What's to hate with a vengeance about bots? :)

I found a farm not too long ago and sat outside watching as the bots tp'd in and out. It was rather creepy and digusting to boot. It was high above a mall and a message would pop up over and over "blah blah (can't remember) is alive". Now that is what you would call a scripted bot farm which did indeed cause some serious lag. LOL and then I was caught peeking into the farm window...because next thing I knew, right after I finished making snapshots and ARing them, was a regular white text message that said "And so and so is alive too". Coordinates arriving at a bot busting blog near you!

funny that only bot users never have the lag. and the LL rules change often. I suspect the next big changes will be a bot usage. so be an a$$ while you can!!

that`s the point others tried to bring across, you weren`t attacked but just had to go for this guy`s throat with absolutly no reason besides "bots suck"

i`m in that camp aswell, i`ll be damned to support shop owners for running traffic farms, if they think they`re the only one with such products, they are wrong...

spent 20k? 30k? 40k? (hell, got almost all her clothing) at dutch touch as the store as no campers and good stuff then go to some of the top designers shops that have campers
and if she gets bots, i wouldn`t spend a signle L$ there anymore

defenetly in roland`s camp, traffic bots can die and for all i care, those shops can go to hell
if shops with no bots do good, your doing something wrong and there are more clothing shops out there then furniture

if you have problems remembering, the time you lost all traffic due to the new search function for land indexing and not updating, with what you`ve said, i retract my symphaty i showed in that thread

i`ll close it with a nice lil twisted quote from your first post:
"you're shop is too insignificant to bother about"

Dang good to see you again Toy We've missed you!

And I think you are right. With all the assett and other issues happening these days that seem to be directly tied to high concurrent logins. I can seriously see LL crippling logins in some way that would strongly dicourage bot use. Say more than 5 AVs concurrent on one IP? (thats just a random thought how not inside info)

or possibly enforcing the plan they put in place before that said soemthing to the effect that in trouble times login will be preferred by payment status.

sorry Phil I get 40-50 fps in a 30 rezzie crowd and running 128draw distance. so your fps in the teens is bad.

You misread. I said the Sim FPS is usually 45. It's the Total Frame Time that's usually in the teens. They are completely different things. The lower the Total Frame Time, the better the sim is. The maximum Sim FPS is 45 - all sims.

I know - I already said that. I did it in another thread very recently too. I also said that it's the unprovoked attacks the come at me, just because I support something that some don't like, that caused me to be very cynical in this forum. There's an old saying, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". They did it to me, so I assume they expect me to do it to them in return. Not everyone, of course, but you'd probably be surprised at how many have thrown insults and nastinesses my way for no reason other than I disagree with them. So don;t talk to me about unprovoked attacks. I know all about it, having been on the receiving end so many times.

There are some nice people in this forum, but there are some nasty people too.

Oh yes. Don't make any mistake about that. Not in this thread, or in the other one I mentioned, but overall - definitely. And it's the overall that caused my 'attacking' attitude in these two threads.

Phil has always done *at least* his share to escalate any "nastiness" thrown his way.

I think he just wants to claim a carte blanche license to hold grudges due to the fact that his skin is thinner than cellophane.

my symphaties that you had to suffer by insignificant customers who bought your stuff

I miss the funny threads. :(
I don't know why 'funny' was judged to be more disobliging than 'nasty'.

I tried going to SLU, but for some reason although I'm now a member, I still can't post. Do I have to sleep with Cris first?

You are right for once. I have usually done my share in escalting them, BUT *never* in starting them, until the two recent threads. That privilege has always belonged to the nasty people here.
