From: Czari Zenovka Refinement involves the way one dresses, speaks, carries themselves, etc. rather than age. Although a person *may* become more refined as they age, it doesn't necessarily follow. Very true - look at me, I don't look a day over 17... OK you can't see me but trust me, there ain't a refined bone in my body

From: Sunni Jewell I'm 41 in RL....25 in SL. (which is what makes SL so great!) I'm curious about this, when people ask my age, I tell them my RL age, should I be telling them a made up age then? Hm. maybe I will pick 29... Is this appropriate? See, other than having an interest in SL. I do not see what I would have in common with say a 20 year old RL.. and I would rather play the game with peers my own age. and if someone told me they were 25, and I found out later they were really much older... I'm certain they would be off my friend list quick as a lick. I understand this is a game, and a lot of peole take it as such.. But there are a lot of people out there who also take it into RL and no matter what you scream at me and say this is just a game for god sake.. We are humans and faulty by nature and it would take the hardest of hearts to not bring some of RL into it.. I look at the muscians, the charity events, the missing person posters acattered about SL.. This is RL... So taking RL out of SL is impossible is what I think. I dunno maybe its just me, but I don't see why you have to make up an age...Unlesss you are actually role playing... But just be bopping around SL meeting people and what not... I can;t see it. I'm not looking to hook up with anyone on SL for RL, but love often comes in the strangest avenues... IMHO

I am 36 and feel very old when I play MMORPG games, chat with people, anything going on in places where young people come. I say "please", not "plz", and I think "Edit Piaf - La Vie En Rose" is a wonderful movie. Then again, I live with a man who could be my father, and that has affected me a bit through our relationship over years (no, I am not as hysterical as Nathan Lane's dramaqueen character in " La Cage aux Folles" (The Birdcage)). Hopefully I have matured, but uhm.. not in the right places, I think I still like playing games, I am still ticklish and I have at least 13 Jim Carrey DVD-movies Heh.. I think I just started defending being my own age.. that is silly.

From: Brenda Connolly I hope he was aiming for the runway. I always aim for the runway - it's surprising how often I take it out when I "land". It bears repeating here that one of the really phenomenal things about SL is that it allows us to connect without the artificial boundaries of social prejudices. We meet on common ground in SL, regardless of age, gender, race, class, or disability. What an absolutely amazing way to broaden our perspective! Age doesn't matter - maturity level (or, in my case, lack thereof) does.

From: Caroline Ra Im as old as my tongue and a bit older than my teeth hehe I've heard that one before. I always think its a great way to get out of revealing your age lol. Trout, that is a loverly way to put it And personally, I think a lack of maturity (to an extent!) can be endearing lol.
