Men playing as Women/Women playing as Men

I'm interested in hearing a voice modulator. Is anyone willing to show me or let me listen? And/or where is that download someone was talking about?

Now I realize that the men I know in Second Life who are literate are actually women in real life.

But I'm also glad that we have reminded everyone that men with talent go out and do powerful things in the workforce, not having time for trivial games, whereas women with talent do not belong in the big-man's important world, and thus are able to waste their unimportant time with games.

(I've seen trolls before, but this OP raelly takes the prize when it comes to compressing so much ignorance into so few words. Bravo.)

How about just not cybering with people you haven't gotten DNA test from first and then it won't be a issue?

I should add not everyone needs one to sound like the opposite gender. anyone with some practice can pull off a pretty convincing cross gender.

I mean if heard Bea Arthur on voice I would think "guy" and there are lots of times I'll be listening to a new song my daughter has DLed and think "gee.. is that a guy or a girl singing" ....

OMG, that was a pain in the arse with download this and download that, and then they wanted money. And the free trial to hear was a man's voice speaking about how you change your voice like this, but then no sound when the voice was supposed to be changed????????? Not for me! I got better things to do, I hope and I ain't spending no money! Then you have to go through removing all that crap! What a pain in the arse!

Actually, it's quite common for legitimate sites to offer free trials, usually limited in some way along with an offer to buy the full version.

Maybe yes, maybe no. I'd say Adobe photoshop, trustworthy product. SL has quite a large following, has been in the news, has a phone number and customer service.

The type of dowloading software services I'm talking about are the ones where you don't know where they are coming from? They could be a scam coming from a third world country and there are lots of them on the net!

Rule of thumb: Don't give out your personal credit card information over the internet or register your personal information to get a free download. Until I joined SL, I only trusted Adobe. You're better off buying software, but then you still have to register. If Adobe comes out with something for gamers to change their voice to Lord Wrath or Homer Simpson or whatever, I'd feel a bit more safe.

Through many experiences I have found that not everyneko is as it appears to be in this world. I have truely felt violated and offended to find out someone I thought I knew was a human and there are Many humans playing as anthropomorphic kitties. To ALL you new comers, and for those who wonder who you are really talking with, there are ways and things to notice. For one most humans don't fap well and are a little slower than anthropomorphic kitties and humans are sloppy. that is most. Some humans are fast at the keyboard, but come on do you really believe someone that was that talented would be spending time on a game when yarn balls abound......Plain and simple if you want to know ask them to voice with you if they are not hiding anything they will do it with no excuses even just a simple sentence to say this is who I really am. If not they are hiding who they are for a reason. I respect all you people who play this game as honest people. Those who don't will get what is coming to them in the end. REMEMBER VOICE IS A GREAT TOOL TO KNOW WHAT SPECIES YOU ARE PLAYING WITH IN WORLD

I feel I'd better come clean and make a confession now that you've brought this to light:

I'm really just a beagle trapped inside a man's body in real life. I only pretend to be a beagle in SL. I wouldn't want you to pat my head or something, not knowing I have a man's body in real life. That would be horrible!

Also, be very careful riding in any vehicles. They don't exist at all in real life.

When you joined Second Life, on the home website it was advertised as "Your world, your imagination." I am sorry if some of us have more of the latter than others.

That was an afterthought and kind of overkill. I meant there are no real life vehicles controlling the virtual ones, so this could be a deception.

A bit of a lame stretch, I know. It's just that some of these "SL is for dating and nothing more" topics push my buttons and I get a little rude. I shouldn't do that. I could stretch my own imagination and see that it *could* be a dating game, like a giant masquerade ball. But one shouldn't expect everyone to conform to this use of the platform.
