Badly Made Items Just Keep On Coming

I just paid for the movie Aliens and Predators. The problem is it's a very bad bootleg copy of the movie. It's extremely dark and fuzzy and you can't really see it. I turned it off about 10 mins into the film. No use wasting time on something you can't see.

I wrote the person I got it from and very nicely I told them the condition of the movie. I added this movie shouldn't of been sold in the first place as you can't make out anything in it since its so dark. Now I'll see what happens but all too many times you get no responses.


This is exactly why I always say there are too many badly made items in sl. Not only badly made but many times the seller is aware of what they're selling. Something like this movie should of never been put on the market. I don't really care about the money I spent as I spend a lot more then that on stuff I sometimes don't even use. It's the thought of someone jerking people around selling garbage like this which happens all too often in sl.

how can you complain about illigal stuff?

file an AR as the person is streaming illigal movies if you hate it so much, very easy for LL to check the scripts and the creator and ban him for life

or even better, inform the movie companies and give them the avatar name, i`m sure they`ll gladly go after that person trough LL

This isn't the point. The point is too many times you buy garbage from sl's so-called, self described "designers." This is just one in many.

How could anyone claim to have designed a streaming hollywood movie?

not really for a very simple reason that i don`t care, if people pay for movie streams, expect to get cams or chopped versions to reduce bandwidth

about general crap, prolly but i only go to stores to wich i`ve going to for the past year as i don`t have to wonder if you get good for your money or not

Uh, Ricardo, there's nothing about illegaly making a badly compressed quicktime of a DVD that makes someone a designer. Why would you expect not to get ripped off buying something that's so obviously ripped off?

I have yet to see one who didn't call themselves designers, artist even. This tag is reserved for a handful but unfortuately its not the case since they all believe it's what they are. Even the junk dealers.

Ricardo, from what I have seen of the movie, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from the original release.

If you can see it then its ok no complaints. But you can't see this one so why sell something as bad as this? I have many movies and none look like this, none.

And how does someone rate as a content provider? Even if its a 100% perfect quality stream - its still someone elses work.

The only similarity is they have in-world stores and charge L$ like actual SL designers do.

Not just a bootleg movie. It happens all the time with just about everything you buy. Oh, I forgot this doesn't happen to some of you here, my bad. or if it did you just eat it up cause you won't complain.

I do get your point about some people provided poor quality products. And that goes for actual designers. I wish I could return things often.

In real life if I buy something and its horrible I can take it back. In Second Life I cant.

Maybe because some of you don't mind being screwed when you buy shit. Judging from what I've seen some here won't ever confront anyone for anything. Even if it means losing money, they won't. Their too nice or as they said in the other thread they like projecting their will of being nice on others. In my neighborhood they're called the hunted.
