Why are you guys asking that certain threads be locked? What is it to you?  Why do you care that people use the "report post" feature in the forum software? Does it hurt you somehow? LOL! I rarely AR any post ... on any forum, moderators are a loaded gun, I tend to try to avoid attracting their attention ... but, you know, people are different and some want to help the forum by reporting blatant violations of forum guidelines. If they want to spend time doing that, why do you care? And I certainly would never mute you, Ricardo, your bizarre romancing of Ann is just too cute for words. . |

And Lindal is really a nice person. Has cheered me up a couple of times. ------------------------ I only filed one AR in world too BTW. Someone had in his profile the RL picture of a woman he had dated that she did NOT have in her 1st life tab, as well as her RL first name .. And he made comments referring to her being the victim of rl child abuse. I couldnt let all that go, it was the worst thing I'd ever see in world as far as breach of trust. |

True...I rarely object to being called cute.  So completely distracted by this picture that I can't remember the punchline. Something about gin and Snow White. I think "cute" was a significant understatement. Ricardo - don't blame me. You dig your own grave around here. I'm innocent this time. FWIW, I think you get a bad rap, too. It's entirely your fault, but it's a bad rap, nonetheless. Your posting style is very confrontational and you aren't nice to people, so they expect to dislike you and are predisposed to argue with anything you say. I know you don't care, so it's not a problem for you. I don't really care either - you don't upset me any. I just think that's why you get a bad rap, that's all. I don't report posts. I can see some good reasons why the moderators would want some of them locked, but keeping order in the forums is their business, not mine. I'm glad they do it, though. Some threads just turn into catastrophes. Nothing but hatred and bad feelings. I'm glad to see those locked. _____________________

Strange and unnatural is good. Ok, this was what I had asked for, to be given a simple reply which you have. Now, I don't agree with having any threads locked, I just don't see it. Like with me, if I don't like what's being said, I move on to another thread. It's not like the posts are screaming out where you can hear anything. It shouldn't come to the extreme where it actually bothers someone to the point of asking for a lockdown or having a breakdown. The mods do this on their own. I know you can report a bad post although, that's not for me either. This here is for discussions, debates, sometimes heated but usually always it's no big deal. No big deal to mature adults who know better then to make a big stink over something someone wrote about. But you know how the overly sensitive can be. Like you said, it takes a lot to be scared off of mere message boards. But as can be seen a few don't mind being seen as scared rabbits high-tailing it out while all the while convulsing in agony while screaming out "I'm putting you on ignoreee!!!!" for nothing more then a simple question that had been asked. Go figure. I was an Admin/owner of a a fairly large message board for years. You would not believe the whining over absolutely nothing. I would literally get PM's like this -- Them: Max456 replied to me on my thread,please tell him to stop and delete his post! Me:Well, what did he say? Them: Just talked about his cousin in reference to my thread about family members Me: Okay,so why is that wrong? Them: I don't like Max456 and they shouldn't be posting on my thread!! Me: :/ Needless to say I gave that up.... Though some people here truly do push the limit and do deserve their ignore status. I have never reported or AR'd anyone here or in world,(except for Elora's neighbor to help her out) I guess I just don't care enough to report people. I just click on the little x in the corner and they are gone,like magic! If I find myself incredibly annoyed with them and losing my sunny disposition,they do eventually end up on my ignore list. I come here for fun and knowledge,not to get all riled up and bitchy.(I can do that at home with my husband,ha!  )I don't think locking threads is a good thing either in most cases.Sometimes it just leaves people bitter and start lashing out in other threads. Then you have little flame wars going on in several threads instead of just one. Also it is my belief that most adults can eventually come to some kind of agree to disagree on their own if given the time. _____________________

You aren't any of those things and you know it! Seriously, where did you get this from? Please tell me you were completely kidding. ---- In keeping with Colette's post, I generally don't AR anything in-world if it's just something that's been done to me, like orbiting, etc. I've filed AR's when I've been somewhere and someone has stuck one of those PN-style particle or physical prim generating objects on the parcel to try to crash the sim or just fill it with millions of particles or something. I just want the object gone at that point so the sim doesn't come down and the AR is the only way I know to try to get anyone's attention at LL. _____________________
