I had a SL bleed into RL moment today. I was at the supermarket, and in line at the cash register behind a woman wearing a very attractive combination of a low neck line sweater over a top of a different color. She was also carrying a coat. I know she was wearing a bra because I could see the outline of the straps in the back. Then she started to put on the coat. I kept wanting to see how she handled the model of only three layers. As we left the store with our grocery carts I kept watching to see if she if she removed her bra and made the top and sweater on the undershirt and shirt layers to allow the coat on the jacket layer.
I think that I shouldn't have stayed up so late but gotten some sleep last night
Sorry to bring back a long dead thread, but I couldn't resist adding this experience.

A little complicated, but...
Background: I never used sound in SL until some visitors to my house commented on the the music.
"Is there music?" I asked.
"Oh, yes, it's a nice harpsichord piece."
Then later, "But I could live without this fish-oil commercial."
I had to turn sound on to see whether they were pulling my leg...
Now I occasionally put it on for a moment or two, but always switch it off again.
SO...
What happened:
Every workday morning, before going to my office, I stop in the atrium of the building across the street. There's a row of shops in there, one of which is my favorite coffee shop. Usually there's no music to be heard, but this morning there were Christmas tunes playing.
I walked in, looked up and thought, "Oh darn, I left the sound on!"

On the morning of my last rezday, before my brain was working as well as it ever does, I had a thought about the people at RL work having a birthday cake for me.

Standing on the train platform and looking at the other people. They all started to look like avatars to me. I had to right click a bench and sit down for a few minutes.

I was shopping in Rl a couple of days ago and saw a lovely pair of shoes that I thought I would try on. A sales assistant came over and asked if I needed a hand and I asked her if they did a demo in my size, it wasnt until I saw the look on her face that I realised what I had said. Boy was my face red lol

I'm glad you did...I had a bleed-over moment last weekend, but hesitated to bring back my own thread. Anyway--I was sleeping late but had disarranged the blinds the night before, with the result that the sun was shining directly on my closed eyelids for a while before I woke up. And when I did wake up, seeing that pattern-behind-the-eyes that one sees when direct light has been shining on them, I thought: Oh, that must be the planar version of that texture....
