Do most of us have real-life experiences in which we react as if we were in SL? (I'm kind of hoping I'm not the only one..... ^_^)
I know that when I'm at a movie or watching TV, there will be that moment in which my subconscious comes up with: 'if I could just pan left...where are the Camera Controls?'
I know that I can't see a nice bit of landscaping, when driving around, without considering how it would look on my parcel in my home sim.
But yesterday took the cake:
I left home in mid-afternoon, and noted that the work crews who'd been doing some repainting on the main road out of my development had finished. A brand-new bright orange line had appeared around the grass medians in the middle of the road.
And sure enough, there was a millisecond when I thought: oh look, they've put those up for sale!

I need to finish a long overdue remodeling project on a room in the house, including painting, and was just bemoaning the fact today that I could not simply apply one of my textures to the walls, and indeed change them at whim for a new effect. :^/

From: Teetah Beck how about wandering how many prims is allowed lol Oh, yeah. And also, looking at a building and wondering how many prims had to be used to make it look that way.... (seriously, and this is not so much goofy as just entertaining for me, I do look at RL buildings quite differently than I did before actually making buildings in SL. I see the planes and the forms more clearly, which is sort of interesting. Well, not to talk about, admittedly, but to think about.)

Or maybe I'm mixing that up with the 'television walls' that Bradbury wrote about...but there WAS some science fiction book or movie that had the 'change the walls at a touch' function...

My biggest one is still when I was preparing for a hurricane and wishing I could just rez plywood over the windows. It's a LOT more work rezzing plywood in real life.

Indeed, Argent. Plus, in SL we are immune to splinters.

A couple of days ago I was in a meeting in SL. We were using voice. At one point a dog started barking and I was actually moving my camera around to see the dog before I realized it was the real life dog of one of the participants - in her rl house.

We recently had drywall people come in to work on a spare room for us. After they finished putting up all the wall boards but before they came in to tape and mud the joints, I went to inspect their work. My first thought was "those prims could have been aligned a lot better than that".

Do dreams count?
Last night I dreamed I was treasure hunting for some kind of opalescent spheres, camming all over the place.
And this morning I had a confused dream where I was ushering a bunch of alts through the creation process and had to string them together with curling ribbon tied around their ankles.
The first I can explain, sort of, as an offshoot of the PoE hunt, but the second... I have no idea where that came from.

when I was waking up in that kind of dreamy time before fully awake, I was thinking about my living room drapes...and I thought why not just go build them now? And I got up and then thought, no....IRL you have to sew them.

One night instead of going to sleep in bed I just stood all night with my head slumped over. When I went to work the next morning, instead of driving I flew. It was great! Unfortunately, I realized what was happening in mid-air and fell to my death. Fortunately, I just teleported home, got in the car, and proceeded on my way as usual.

I turned to hubby and said... wow, what a waste of prims... he still teases me about it

I have decided to try to learn scripting and I find that it is invading my RL dreams... I will wake up thinking about how to do a kick ass script, that worked in my dreams... then it fades away

I dream in my first life rarely but when I do I am Avpaint or Photoshop. I have been known to count prims in first life. In SL I have wished for some real life things, like smell. LOL Yeah projects I do in my sleep always turn out better then in FL/RL or SL.
