From: Isabeau Imako OK, I've changed my mind. You're not normal. Your blood must be part soda by now hahah..just another addiction of mine.. Ok..this is really freaky, just logged into gmail, and you know those links up at the top that gmail just puts there? Well, this one was sitting there, clicked on it, read it and NOW im convinced I'm hopeless..this article was like a slap in the face..hmmm..me hears twilight zone music playing http://www.realtruth.org/articles/071031-004-tpoh.html?s_kwcid=ContentNetwork|1241480861&gclid=CJaH_N3b8ZACFQGnPAodzGnh2A

From: Yummy Freelunch This might be an odd question, but I was wondering if I'm the only one who has let their house TOTALLY go since playing SL. My house is a mess, and I keep saying, well I'll only be on SL for an hour, then go do my dishes. Five hours later, Im still sitting here! Am I just a total loser? ROFL..seriously? Is it just me, if so, someone please come knock some sense into me! I went through a stage in the first 4-5 months of discovering SL where I hardly did anything else but second life. Id wake up and go straight online and end up eating breakfast and having a shower at lunchtime before going back online again. I did this over the whole of winter. I got a lot done in Second life but my real life was fast deteriorating. It was like an addiction. I even took time off work!! I got very depressed about it but no matter how bad I felt I couldnt snap out of it, I felt powerless. Everywhere I went in RL all I could think about was what I was going to do in SL when I got home. I would talk about it to people all the time and bore them half to death. It was horrible, it was like a drug. One day I woke up and spring was arriving and I said to myself 'get out of this house go have a life again' and so I did and I kept doing it until I broke my habit. I got my power back and my life and I feel so much better for it. Looking back I find it hard to believe how much time I spent in SL when RL is so much better. Ive noticed that many people kind of make light of the way they spend so much time in second life but for some it can become a serious problem. Now I see SL completely differently and only visit very briefly maybe every second or third day for perhaps 1/2 hour. In Korea many people especially teenagers die every year from playing computer games way too long. They drop dead from deep vein thrombosis. Others neglect their health really badly like junkies and dont eat properly or exercise etc Maybe these games should come with health warnings. I think Warcraft now has an anti addiction software that cuts people off when playing for too long.

From: Cordealia Akina /me nods and goes back to playing second life ROFL!! Okay, here's what I do. I don't allow myself SL until I have attended to everything that needs to be done. Dishes clean, house clean, laundry loads going, family fed, snuggles enjoyed, studying done. I make RL my priority. SL is my reward for doing all of that. Otherwise I just feel too guilty.

From: Yummy Freelunch Me too, hey i managed to do HALF a sink of dishes this weekend! I picked up my livingroom and dusted it, folded two baskets of clean clothes, and did a load of laundry, then I went grocery shopping! I was on a roll, let me tell you...I was going to get the entire house cleaned! And then.... The internet came back up after being crashed for 15 hours

From: Joseph Abel Roomba!!! Yay Roomba!!
Yes, they work...yes, they take care of animal fur...but yes, you do need to empty them out after each session, and it helps to tap out the stuff caught in the filter...
However, it takes 2-3 minutes to do that, over the trash can, compared to vacuuming...
I have been amazed at some of the tight spaces it can get itself into, and then back out of - and it really does do a good job of covering all the floor area.
And it finds it's own way back home when done!! (to the re-charge dock)
Ah luuvvvss mah little Roomba! Do I need one per room or can I move it?
