1. I cannot figure out how to do anything useful with the big map

2. Prim skirts can be devilishly difficult to fit correctly

3. Sometimes when you are building, a prim can shoot away from you and you never know where it went

.

1) LL's Inability to listen and *heed* their customers desires.
2) The direction LL is taking Second Life in.
3) LL's shoddy viewer (which I hope will improve with 2.0)

or maybe I should just shorten all that to 'LL'. :p

I'm afraid of 2.0 if the changes to the website are any indication of the direction Big Spaceship is taking them.

1. The continuous degradation of server performance since about v1.25, especially in regards to:
a. http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3895
b. http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4196
c. http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3867

2. Server-side Lag - the side affects of degraded server performance.

3. Sion Chickens

1. Just about every decision LL has made since their last good one... doing away with update Wednesdays.

2. That the great clubs (Arsheba, Aerolite) from 2-3 years ago where you could go and actually feel like you were in a club, with people chatting and dancing and just partying until "closing time" then left, have given way to 'clubs' where you are awash in gesture spam, no one talks except pole dancers begging for money, and half if not more of the 'customers' are running on a single computer in someone's basement trying to drive up their numbers. Thank goodness for Sanctuary Rock and IOL, but even at those the gesture spam overloads the fun at times.

3. Demons replacing Angels and the sexy ethereal creatures wandering about SL. *sniffs thinking of Danni Moanalo*

Ah the good old days, when you could still get hit on while wearing noob hair.

Another thing I hate is when people put their lovey dovey crap all over their profile about their relationship like as if they are bragging about it and not a single word about themselves... it makes me not even want to talk to them.

This, but one pet peeve to add. If it's my sim, and i pay the tier, and i decide, as LL gives me the right to, to boot & ban people i think inappropriate for my adult business, why does this make me bad? they come in, looking 8 years old, get an attitude when i say my ADULT business is no place for kid avies, and cuss me like i am wrong for it. I do not have ANYTHING against kid avies, but in the right time/place.
ok done venting.

Yes Bri I agree with you. Serious Child RP people dont go to adult areas, cos that is not why they RP children. If a child avi is found in an adult area (and dont changes to an adult avi) something is wrong IMHO. Like you I dont have anything against child avis AT ALL. I have friends who do the Child RP thing and some of them run serious buisnesses in SL as well. If I meet a child avi I treat them as such and I will also as the adult ask them to either leave my club or change to an adult avi cos in RL children are not allowed in any nightclubs ;) the rest of my sim(s) they are more than welcome :)

hmmm ... three things .... dum da dum .... thinking .... still thinking ..... *ding* "You have been logged out of Second Life" ARGH !!!

1. Rash (or supposedly so) decisions from LL (Please Phillip COOOOOME BACK ... Pretty please ... with something nakid on top *Now at Zindra*) Including (not in any particullar order) :

* VAT
* Decreasing value of private sims (region prices going from 1650usd to 1000usd)
* OS / Homestead distaster part 1 & 2
* Flodding of mainland
* Adult changes
* .... more to come ;)

2. Tier to high when the cappacity / prim is stagnent. We only have 15000 on full sims, for a sim to run fairly smooth we can in reality only have 40 avis on. Solution: Either improve the server imensely OR lower the tier on private regions so we can compete with mainland sims (mainland sim 195usd, private region 295usd)

3: People comming in to SL not really knowing what it is all about.. Either they think they can make millions starting a five and dime store (please Im begging you Phillip stop that sort of promo ) or they think its a game and show a staggering lack of respect for others in SL

There is more but you only asked for three ;)

1) Unnecessarily static hosting model, and a profit model that keeps it entrenched. The model where the ONLY land available is expensive permanently hosted, and with a fixed resource:size ratio, is causing all sorts of problems already (neighbor disputes, high tier, the "ghost town" effect, and so on..) yet there is apparantly no hope of it being altered.

2) The user interface. No prim alignment. No texture alignment. Entire popular methods of creation BLOCKED - by the standard UI. Why!?

3) No physical avatars. At a TIG conference, an author managed to write a game featuring ragdolls in 5 minutes.. this would help animations a huge amount.

4) The model where just _enjoying SL_ - in any way other than sex, dancing, and spectating - is seen as "success" which can only be earned by a top percantage, yet newbies are constantly and institutionally told that they can be in it.

1. Adult content all over the place. Keep your leashed "slaves" off PG areas, thank you very much.

2. The horrible UI.

3. Lag.

I don't like

1. PG rules - make PG "mature".
2. Forum rules.
3. Consistently blue sky. It's too sunny.

1: LL not taking responsibility ... How often have you seen something along these lines:- Paypal has indicated a problem with your account, click here to visit the website. I have had this many times, i do nothing, give it an hour or two & suddenly 'Paypal' have sorted the problem out.

2: the old favourite .... tier fees too high

3: i know i'm going to get hassled for this, possibly even griefed inworld ........... i wont mention any brand names, but certain games that require you to hassle other people by asking if you can bite them.

1. The sudden rudeness people think they are entitled to once they are anonymous.

2. Paranoia of any sort. This includes the unreasonable fear of child avs to the point of harassment, and misrepresentation by the press that SL is strictly some sort of sex game.

3. Rampant misuse of full bright and glow. Folks, plants do not glow in the dark unless they are either near Oakridge TN or indigenous to certain sub-tropic caves of Beta Hydrae 17. Full bright is useful for lamps when they are on. I'm not sure what glow is useful for.

3 and a half. Not enough variety in mens clothes.

Today I released some new products, and was reminded that I hate...and I mean *really* hate...

releasing products!

Every step of the process is tedious, but the worst part is probably setting up a store display using textures and prims. For what is essentially 11 flat, identical, rectangular surfaces that I want filled with text and images (my walls) , I have to sling prims, upload textures, while being mindful of both prim count and texture size, cut prims, rotate this and that, calculate texture offsets, etc etc etc.

Being *able* to design for a 3D space is really cool. *Having* to design for a 3D space for what is better done in a page layout program is just really annoying.

If I was a Linden we'd have SVG on a prim.

1. Lack of neck attachment points. Necklaces should be around the neck, not the chest, spine or even nose.

2. Crappy Avatar Mesh.

3. It's run by Linden Labs. At this point, they're becoming SL's own worst enemy.
