1. Lag, and the related inability to have more than 20-30 avatars in a region (lagfree) at the same time.
2. Border crossings.
3. Interference and manipulation of the markets in SL by LL
a dishonourable mention also to LSL limitations, easy copyright infringement, lack of LL responsiveness, fees (way too high), unconscienable TOS terms.

1. Hucksters. Casinos LL is pretending aren't casinos, people selling redundant stuff they didn't create, people running clubs full of bots, three people controlling 11 of the top 13 search results, etc.
2. People pretending to be successful businesses. A lot of people are here because they heard you can make money, and there's no shortage of people encouraging them, saying "I'm making money", but when pressed you find they're talking about lunch money. People who tell you success is just a matter of marketing, but when pressed you find they don't do any marketing themselves.
3. Know-it-all coders inside and outside the lab who don't really believe in intellectual property, while ironically earning a living working for someone willing to pay them to create intellectual property.

What annoys me most is people who create large, brash, clumsy and ugly structures on the mainland. I know they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder but everyone knows the sort of thing I mean.

Inside the game:
1. The limited support for scripting. Coming from older virtual worlds where a script could change just about anything in its environment, maintain a database and share it with scripts in other objects, places, and people, the functions available in LSL are so limited even though LSL itself is much higher level than MU* scripting languages.
2. The half-hearted attempt to bake the linear, euclidean limits of Snow Crash into the game that make it impossible for people to implement the kinds of optimizations that are essential to 3d worlds. You SHOULD be able to create, for example, a house where the inside is in a separate virtual space than the outside, so that you don't have to render all the objects inside a house when you walk past it, so that you can't cam into the house from the outside, and so on. It would so reduce lag, improve privacy, and permit the development of MUCH more interesting builds if some kind of portal capability existed.
3. Windlight, Voice, Mono, technologies that break content, make building harder, increase lag, or break the fourth wall. It's Second Life, not First Life Plus Plus.

For me, my top 3 things are:
I dislike:
#1 - Land tier fee's - they are too high
#2 - Peoples.
#3 - The "Object scope" of scripts and the overprotective securities that protect the avatar against scripts.

1. Merchants with absolutely no concept of "Customer Care". Those that have no quality customer care deserve no customers - period. 1. The assumption by some that there's no need to pay for anything because so much is free. Someone pays for that land they play on... 1. Poor communications from LL. Usually a post on a blog an hour after we all know that there are problems in world. Shouldn't have to check an external website every few minutes to see if all is ok. 1. RESIZE SCRIPTED PRODUCTS (Instant no sale except maybe on some shoes) (I didn't want to rate in any particular order and I can't count )

Great idea as usual from the Maestro of the Mustelidae but I'm wondering if we might get issues similar to the sim-boundary thing? For instance, if I rode my bike into your burrow wouldn't there be a danger that I might end up head-over-heels in the cupboard with a 1957 Triumph stuck in my ear?

1) lack of innovation (technical/graphical)
2) LAG
3) no stable platform (backend)
bonus: 4) Promises made, but not held. (by LL, e.g. opensourcing the server code and interoperabilities being active, was promised for mid 2009)

The separate virtual space could be in the same sim (eg, in a skybox, or even better in a privacy pocket/twilight zone space). That's how this is often handled... you walk into the witch's cottage, and you end up somewhere off the edge of the main map. You can also implement long forest paths and tunnels this way by keeping track of how often someone walks through a portal, so they pass through the same set of twisty game trails four times before they get ported through to the clearing the witch's cottage is in.

#1: The scandalous squandering of LL's brainpower (and, indirectly, our tier fees), through a combination of human resource development by wishful-thinking (e.g., the Love Machine), marketing by wishful-thinking (the current exclusive focus on corporate and educational markets), and wholesale, across-the-board management ineptitude. (I marvel every week that Andrew stays an employee; I see him the hero of a Greek tragedy, forced to watch his sizable equity stake being frittered away by the epic incompetence of the Chorus of fools running the show.) #2 for me: From: Argent Stonecutter 1. The limited support for scripting. This is the one thing that will one day make me leave SL. #3: Texture loading / cache lag. I saw a prefab shoe the other day with, like, 50 sculpted prims. Yeah, right: I don't think I've ever been in-world long enough to rez 50 sculpties; I'm not sure it's possible before heat death of the universe.

#1 Copybots and copycats.
#2 Big shops with loads of alts and bots to game Search.
#3 LL making rules (eg bots, policy Mature/Adult) and not enforcing them.

1. Tier way too high
2.Far too many new rules ,it,s getting worse than RL.How long before we are forced to wear seatbelts or hard hats on building sites.
3. Those pigging trees in Zindra, they should have called it Zelda 1980's.

1. Too many rules that make me wanna streak naked through Ahern (including bad precedent ageplay ban and the newly revised forum posting rules) 2. Predictably lame experience (someone said in another thread they once saw a dragon with junk... LOLz... SL used to be more fun And can I even say "junk" on the forum anymore?? See #1) 3. Lack of pie
