One of my wife's friends was Michael Myers personal assistant. We met him with her once. He is either intentionally not funny in person or he's just plain not funny.

At first glance I thought you said Michael Moore so I was gonna pick door #2. But since it's Mike Myers I'll say #1. You can't expect him to be "On" all the time.

Most comedians are a bit odd in person. One person we met during a four hour layover last month, Paul Rudd, was just as funny live as in his flicks (Knocked Up, Clueless, 40 Year Old Virgin).

Is it time to start talking about celebrity sightings or brushes with greatness? My #1 was shaking hands with the Dalai Lama. A close second was meeting John Ritter.

cool! ...continuing in the "six degrees of separation" vein, my brother-in-law's first cousin was Viggo Mortensen's nanny...:)

I was in a movie with Dustin Hoffman.

My car was in a movie with Eric Estrada, Dat Phan, and John Goodman.

They filmed "Ray" about three miles from my house, I drove through the set every day for a week.

Ok I am done.

I don't think Michael Myers is that funny myself,

I was once helped off a plane because of an injury. Jack Nicholson walked past me down the tube and shook his head in disgust, believing me to be drunk.

Oh Christ no! I'd never shut up. It all started with Bozo the Clown, at Coney Island.....

I've never had a brush with fame....though I did win a contest on a kids TV show and got to speak on TV lol. i was the envy of my friends.

Having said that, our family were very good friends of Dr Shipman before he got caught....not exactly a nice claim to fame lol.

I once went onto the patio to tell Sean Penn I thought he was brilliant (I don't usually do this). After I shook his hand and told him I thought he was brilliant, I noticed the two guys he was having a smoke with: Jack Nicholson and Harry Dean Stanton. I had to shake their hands and tell them they were brilliant too (even Harry Dean).

I was at Universal Studios with my parents one year, and at the table next to us was a pissed drunk Telly Savalas.

I'm not much of a concert goer, but these are a few big ones I went to when I was younger,

U2
The (English) Beat
Flock of Seagulls :p
Bruce Sprigsteen
The Police
Depeche Mode
The Cure

Best concert I ever went to was The Clash in '82. I was 13 and it was my first.

Ah, but don't knock this rather accomplished character actor! Who can forget him in Wild at Heart?

i used to know Bob Conrad pretty good. he's an a-hole, but i like his wife.

i know a few celebs, and a few Star Trek walk ons that were actually non-speaking regulars in the background, and I know 3 screenplay writers who have big movies (2 of them. i think #3 has sold but none have actually made to to production).

none of them is that special. trust me.

my favorite meet tho, was the guy from the short lived tv show 'Titus' (i forget his first name). he's pretty cute in RL. :D

ROFL- fortunately, I have never seen him -

Oh- just recalled, my cousin's inlaws live down the street from Stallone (if he still has that house there) and across from Madonna's old place.

A million years ago- before Gloria Estefan was known and they were still Miami Sound Machine- they were playing in the back yard of a model home for sale my parents and I went to see.

Famous people?

I walked by Kiefer Sutherland, and had a mini conversation with Roy Dupuis (guy from the 'La Femme Nikita' tv show) at a bar. Yep, that's it...

'La Femme Nikita'

oh, this reminds of a movie i simply MUST buy to have available to view at my whim. i simply love it!

Bridget Fonda in 'Point of No Return', which is based on that novel (La Femme Nikita). Gawd that's a great movie! Chicks with guns. Perfect!

I'm a little pissy that 24 went off the air. I still claim it to be my favorite show even though it's rather outrageous and really cheesy at points, but I really hate that the writers strike took it out of commission.

EVERYBODY GET DOWN!

Iron Butterfly. Wow.

Really dating myself here... but it was at the Rose Palace. One of the first concerts I ever went to, my older sister dragged me along. I think my parents would have killed her if they had ever found out. :)

Oh and i forgot... Elton John..
