From: Raymond Figtree Velvet Underground? Sex Pistols? Pixies? are you talking about seeing them in their prime or reunion gigs? /me asks jealously... VU in their prime was before I was born, and the Sex Pistols were first doing their thing when I was 8... so alas, it was the cash-in reunion gigs for both. Still brilliant, even though I knew damn well they weren't doing it for the love. Pixies, however, is a different kettle of fish. 1988, 1989 and 1990, and then the London reunion gig a couple of years back.

From: Max Herzog You'd be lucky. She stopped performing live in about 1979. I'd like to see her too. Kate Bush would be my ultimate MUST SEE. My home in SL is named for her. That, alas, will never happen.

Very respectable list of music you have there Max The only other person here who I would want to go see a concert with apparently judging from the names of bands you've seen

From: ConductorX Nieuport I don't think this is the real Trout, I think it is an imposter that logged onto his account.
"CX" Nope. It's me. But in my defense, I'm only half a cup of coffee into the day, so I'm still in questionable condition. They know I'm just goofing around and I didn't mean any disrespect.

From: Rioko Bamaisin I smoked way too much weed in my younger days. I can't remember even a quarter of the concerts I went to. LMAO - maybe that is why I cannot remember much of those days.

I used to work loadouts for extra money. You get free tickets and backstage passes too. I have seen more bands than I can ever count. Seriously. First concert: Doobie Brothers (last tour before Michael McDufuss took over to make them his backup bad) First concert I worked: Ted Nugent (First tour afer leaving the Amboy Dukes) Last concert worked: Metalica, Reload tour Last concert seen: Seether in March I think (unless you count Jeff Dunham who I saw just a couple of weeks ago) Other notible acts: Dr Hook Queen Heart Hall and Oats (lol) Garth Brooks Barney on Ice River Dance (yawn) Kiss AC/DC Alice Cooper Molly Hatchet Ozzy ... hell, damn near any metal band from the 70's through the 90's Def Lepord Elton John Savatage/TSO (I always want to get a Trans-Sibarian Orchastra posters signed after a Savatage concert but never quite had the gall to do it) ... I had tickets to see Elvis once, but I got in a fight with my gf at the time and gave the tickets away. He died shortly after

From: Yosef Savatage/TSO (I always want to get a Trans-Sibarian Orchastra posters signed after a Savatage concert but never quite had the gall to do it) I remember you being amazed that I had Savatage in my profile Didn't realize you were a fan though Currently I stalk the members and what bands they end up in. Not the same of course- but TSO rocks -

From: Trout Recreant Why didn't you just land the helicopter so nobody had to jump? You should carry a thicker rope.
My theory is that the men weren't clapping. They were killing themselves so they wouldn't have to listen to that woman blather on about what a martyr she's been her entire life. Awww does somebody need a hug?

Instead of fantasy sports ... fantansy bands! I went to see Nancy Wilson in the Village one night about 10 years ago. She cancelled, so instead, Bob Dorough, who sang a lot of the Schoolhouse Rock tunes was there instead. Not a bad tradeoff.

From: Elora Lunasea Good morning everyone! So we're talking concerts this morning? Where to begin? If I were home I'd go through all my concerts stubs but I'll give it a shot here and I know I'm leaving out a slew of them: No special order although they will get more "alternative" as the list goes on since I'm starting from sort of the beginning: BTO Peter Frampton Elton John Rolling Stones Pink Floyd The Who Bruce Springsteen Queen Jethro Tull Judas Priest Tina Turner King Crimson Chicago Rush No Nukes Concert (so, whomever was there) Jackson Brown Patti Smith Ramones B52's Lena Lovich Laurie Anderson Talking Heads Annie Golden Sonic Youth Guided by Voices Sebadoh Garbage Go-Go's Radiohead Police Blondie Amie Mann Til Tuesday Squeeze Rickie Lee Jones Hole REM Cyndi Lauper Elvis Costello Psychdelic Furs Eurythmics Joe Jackson Peter Gabriel Pretenders Adam & The Ants Culture Club Duran Duran Flock of Seagulls Thompson Twins Many of these I've seen more times than I can remember such as Sonic Youth, Radiohead, Laurie Anderson, Patti Smith, Peter Gabriel and B52's. Plenty more - brains cells will not allow me to remember them all right now Too much partying in my past lol. Oh and I have used the infamous disgusting toilet in the now defunkt CBGB and it was as bad as everyone said it was QFT

I'm back you guys are making me jealous with your lists of gigs....I love live music, but don't get to go often....think I've prolly gone to about 4 in total lol. a couple of those are so embarrasing I don't want to admit to going lol. I've been to a few musicals too, and I really love going to the opera.

From: Brenda Connolly Awww does somebody need a hug? Well, I'm in a pretty good mood actually, and the week is looking like it's going to at least be an interesting one. I was just joking around in the post you quoted. On the other hand, I wouldn't turn down a hug.

If I had kids, I would have to pawn them out for something like that. Under no circumstances would I ever be able to sit through something like that. EVER.

Shoppers in SL must be getting more rude, or at the very least indifferent, to the greeters. Now, I don't like a store greeter that wants to hover or constantly talk about what they have to sell me, but I do not mind someone saying Hello and welcoming me to their store. Whenever someone does that, I always say Hi back and thank them for their welcome. In the past 24 hours, I have had 5 greeters tell me that my response was very nice and very unusual and then they gave me a free gift - not the same items sitting on the store floor free to all that came there. Basic kindness and respect does have its rewards.
