I deliberately omitted gigs I attended in a previous existence.

Cocteau Twins

Talking about envy! Not many people know Cocteau Twins in the Netherlands, and when I heard their music for the first time, they were not playing anymore. Now I have all their CD's, but never will see them live, boohoo. This Mortal Coil is great too by the way, though I doubt they could play the music they made live :-) Heard of them the same day I fell in love with Cocteau Twins' music.

You are a man of style and taste, Marcel.

Cocteaus live was a pleasure to behold. Saw them on the Heaven or Las Vegas tour.

TMC is brilliance too. If you like that, check out the Scarlett Johansson album (yes, her).

Well I guess I am more a man of extremes. On one side there are Cocteau Twins, TMC, and more recent Katie Melua for example, on the other side there are Rammstein, Motorhead, and Iron Maiden just to name a few. Even my iPod gets confused once in a while :D
Another nice one that you may like is A Fine Frenzy, not too well known yet but worth a try!

Will check out that Scarlett thing, but please warn before I start googling her name ROFL. Am at a customer at the moment, and glad no one looked at my screen ;)

I just got this email. Dont get me wrong I am not one at all for men bashing just thought this was funny as can be. :)
I will leave you with a little humor have a great day!
11 people on a Rope

Eleven people were hanging on a rope, under a helicopter,
10 men and 1 woman.
The rope was not strong enough to carry them all,
So they decided that one had to leave,
Otherwise they were all going to fall.
They weren't able to choose that person,
Until the woman gave a very touching speech.
She said that she would voluntarily let go of the rope,
Because, as a woman, she was used to giving up everything
For her husband and kids or for men in general,
And was used to always making sacrifices with little in return.
As soon as she finished her speech,
All the men started clapping ..........

You'd be lucky. She stopped performing live in about 1979.

I'd like to see her too.

good morning thread-type peoples. holy cow. i was only away from this thread for a couple of days. it'd take that long to catch up. can i just cheat and read the last pages?

Mel Tillis (as a kid)
Elvis Costello
Air Supply (as a young teen)
Steppinwolf (as a teen)
Meatloaf
Some big name i can't even remember cuz i hated it
Elton John
Cry of Love (if you like Styx, you'll love this now defunct band)
Lynyrd Skynyrd
a couple more i can't remember anymore

Looks great, but I advise you to work on your pics a bit. First thought when I looked at the 3 biggest pictures in your ad, was: where are their arms? The dress, underwear and gloves look great though! Sexy stuff ;)
One more thing: Add an item description. What is included, some nice words about the style that inspired you, whatever.

Now the bad news: I never wear dresses, and I sell about nothing on Onrez. So how useful my advice is, thats up to you :-)

Marcel you are correct- the picture is dreadful! It looks nice on the box in world and it was the only one I had. As I sd - I have been without DSL over the weekend so today was a quick I need to see how this works deal- I only uploaded the one photo when I saw how horrible it looked.

Ok so folks- help a noob seller- suggestions for pix please? Elora yours were wonderful- can I steal you for Arachnid's post? You look far better than I did in it :)

Marcel- so very glad to hear the only ladies clothes you are interested in are the ones you can peel off of said lady ;).

Nah in-game I often wear a sarong, since it matches the spirit of my parcel and shop perfectly. Further then that I won't go :D

Though I have seen men in black leather skirts at some parties, that did not look to feminine either. But yes, I prefer women clothes on women. Not too much of it either :-)

Why didn't you just land the helicopter so nobody had to jump? You should carry a thicker rope.

My theory is that the men weren't clapping. They were killing themselves so they wouldn't have to listen to that woman blather on about what a martyr she's been her entire life.

keep your sun and hot weather elsewhere, bah humbug... I don't want it in Seattle. LOL
Just glad we don't get stuck in over heated prims here.

lol - HEY! Don't wish away the sun! We could use some sun here in Olympia after the dreary weekend. Maybe a few of those beautiful summer days we get here every once in a while - two or three in a row would be nice.

Actually, it wasn't too bad a weekend. But I commuted in to work this morning on my motorcycle and It was a little wet for my taste. Sippery roads, and my legs froze. The jacket does a good job, but that wet air cuts right through jeans.

I don't think this is the real Trout, I think it is an imposter that logged onto his account.

Good morning everyone!

So we're talking concerts this morning? Where to begin? If I were home I'd go through all my concerts stubs but I'll give it a shot here and I know I'm leaving out a slew of them:

No special order although they will get more "alternative" as the list goes on since I'm starting from sort of the beginning:

BTO
Peter Frampton
Elton John
Rolling Stones
Pink Floyd
The Who
Bruce Springsteen
Queen
Jethro Tull
Judas Priest
Tina Turner
King Crimson
Chicago
Rush
No Nukes Concert (so, whomever was there)
Jackson Brown
Patti Smith
Ramones
B52's
Lena Lovich
Laurie Anderson
Talking Heads
Annie Golden
Sonic Youth
Guided by Voices
Sebadoh
Garbage
Go-Go's
Radiohead
Police
Blondie
Amie Mann
Til Tuesday
Squeeze
Rickie Lee Jones
Hole
REM
Cyndi Lauper
Elvis Costello
Psychdelic Furs
Eurythmics
Joe Jackson
Peter Gabriel
Pretenders
Adam & The Ants
Culture Club
Duran Duran
Flock of Seagulls
Thompson Twins

Many of these I've seen more times than I can remember such as Sonic Youth, Radiohead, Laurie Anderson, Patti Smith, Peter Gabriel and B52's. Plenty more - brains cells will not allow me to remember them all right now ;) Too much partying in my past lol.

Oh and I have used the infamous disgusting toilet in the now defunkt CBGB and it was as bad as everyone said it was
