From: Elora Lunasea I remember visiting NOLA in late October. I thought it would have gotten cooler by then, but oh dear! It was still hot and humid as could be. Plowed through doing all those plantation tours as early in the day as possible, but it was still difficult walking around, or more like dragging around. I lived in Florida for a few years and you'd think I'd have gotten used to that high humidity but nope, not at all. I was the girl who ran from my air conditioned apartment, to the air conditioned car, to the air conditioned office and did the vice versa bit home again Christmas Day last year I was wearing shorts and tee shirt and wishing the pool was clean. Two days later there was ice on the pool. "CX"

From: Ann Launay It's 39 here, with a predicted high of 49. And I thought we were having a chilly day with a predicted high of 59. It actually snowed in the mountains here last night. It is June and should not be doing that anymore!!!

It's supposed to warm up a bit over the weekend, which is good because I need to work on my yard. Yay and stuff.

Stockholm has been sunny and in the high 70s / low 80s for the past fortnight, and is set to continue in that vein for the next 10 days at least.
Which is nice.

Gah, now you're talking about the weather???
Where is the controversy? The smut? Innuendo and outright flaming! You people are getting along far too well. This is a FORUM, you know.

You're all sounding like my mother-in-law, who calls nearly every day to give us a weather report. Like she doesn't live only about 15 miles away. For some reason, she thinks Staten Island's weather is substantially different than ours in New Jersey, our house happenss to be extremely close to the borderline between NY and NJ. She is always wide-eyed with amazement when we tell her the sun is shining over our house just like hers

From: Elora Lunasea That was before it all got out of hand. Plus, I was trying to cheer CX up One could argue that you helped to set the tone with your air moisture storytelling. I reckon you did it on purpose to facilitate some moral high ground posting afterwards. I can see right through your nefarious scheme, Elora Lunasea.

Like she doesn't live only about 15 miles away. hahah, my mom does that, too. She finds this information on the web and then calls me to tell me the forecast, since I obviously don't have a TV, Radio, Internet or newspaper. According to her, it's going to be stinkin' hot and humid here this weekend, which is the peak of mosquito season. Nice. Something to be said for the bug-free, air conditioned comfort of SL. Don't plan on getting any sleep, Max. B.

Expected to reach 87 and we should expect more thunderstorms. Regarding your mother-in-law, Elora: LOL. My dad, who lives about 7 minutes from me, calls me at the first sign of a snowflake or raindrop, wanting to know when I am leaving work to get home.

From: Gabriele Graves OK I have been working on a little poem about Trout and the ratings. So for your viewing pleasure (hopefully) here it is... Trout Out of the night with a loud throaty noise, Comes a man of taste who loves his toys, His steed is a bi-plane of pedigree true, That drops from the sky, out of the blue, "Who is this man?", I heard you inquire, "Why it's Trout, he's in his evening attire!", With a cheery wave and a flashing of smiles, All the girls know why he's travelled the miles, Their hearts leap and bound, hoping it's true, That it's to rate them, that he's come through, Each preens and poses, as much as they dare, And wait anxiously in line, under his stare, One licks her lips, He calls "A six, I think", Another lifts her skirts and gives him a wink, "She is definitely a seven" he turns to declare, Two more girls, "A five here and a four there!", He reaches the end and the last of the girls, Standing prettily, a full head of curls, Beautifully dressed, but nothing laid bare, Her twinkling eyes tell the answer right there, The room goes quiet, eyes expectantly on Trout, Knowing her rating will be low without doubt, He considers the twinkle and after a time, Then calls out,"Don't be fooled, she is surely a nine!" (Hope you like it Trout) VV Speechless. I love it!!! Thank you so much, Gabriele! You just made my day.
