It's soft and gravily.. not hard- it touches one and forms a bubble u can hide in. There is a warning sign near it... like a low growl -as in- don't mess with me but not threatening.. more like common sense. You are (from you post voice) soft and cuddly with something hinted at one does not want to disturb.

/me chuckles

sounds about right, considering some dear friends once called me a cute cuddly demonic teddy bear in the physical world

Morning Threadies... Feeling a bit down today so I had to write it out...

It was a wonderful day. We sailed about the bay going to and fro just following where the wind would take us. Several times we were scared, coming close to capsize but always able to right ourselves in time. We laughed afterwards at our foolishness.

A private cove provided safety for lunch and swimming on the beach. On our blanket I looked deeply into your eyes and we whispered our words of love. Our passions grew and grew as our bodies tried to become one. We reveled in each other and gave each other pleasure repeatedly.

We returned to once again to real life only to find we cannot be together any more. So we part our ways to pursue other dreams and other passions. So I return to sail alone to rekindle the memories of good times in the past. The boat does not respond to my touch anymore not because it is unbalanced but because I am.

Should I give up sailing? Should I no longer seek the gentle breeze or hidden cove? No, I can’t not anymore than I can give up breathing. So on I go seeking the return my balance and find my center.

Have a good day everyone, I'll try to do better.

CX... I am sorry- and happy too- happy for you that you had what you had. Recently my love and I broke up- it was heart wrenching and I bled all over here- SL gives us so much- but we give up too, the ability to turn it off. We feel so deeply here. Revel in it enjoy it and wait for the next love of your life. She is waiting just a few posts away. Don't worry - done right, the ex-love will be a friend- it is what I hope for since what I feel here is so real. I will always love him - we just can't be - so okay, he will find another love and so will I - it may seem cold to some but not really. The thing we make together- that lives on forever.

CX, I'm really sorry about this. I don't know what more to say except that I empathize with your feelings. I bled all over this forum in the winter after my breakup and the feedback I received was a lifesaver. I regrouped, made my way in due time and carried on. You sound like you have a wonderful way of viewing this and I'm sure that you too will find your way. I know for me, remaining friends was of the upmost importance and thankfully, we were able to do so. It took a bit of time for that to sort itself out completely, but if you had a good friendship at the core of your relationship, eventually it will surface and over-ride the breakup.

Ok - time for some catch up:

From: Gabriele Graves
I went very off Tom Cruise after some of his out of character appearances where he espoused his wacky think. Shame too, he was hot in Cocktail.
And I loved him in Top Gun. But then his ego got too big and his thinking too crazy.

Morning all..

We had bad storms last nite and this morning. Lost Electric about 8-8:15 our time so went to bed and read by the camping lantern hehe. And promptly fell asleep. Now I think I got too much sleep.

Oh well. And now it looks like more is coming in darn it. Ever sit in a dark bank during a storm it is kind of scarey.
We had an awesome thunderstorm last night - we actually don't get too many of them. The prediction is that today could be one of the worst in many years for tornados on the plains -- anyone living there, please be careful and watch the weather.

Have a good day everyone.

This was heart-wrenchingly beautiful. Your words touched me; so full of promises fulfilled, and promises...not broken, but altered in significant ways.

No, my friend...do not give up on sailing or on your search...

Yea, we're getting storms here too. I think they're moving on thru.

Having lost power before for 4 days (and it happens to us about twice a year), I've come to love having Gas Stove & Water Heater, and a good ol' fashioned land line which comes in handy for pestering the Electric Company to get off its ass & fix the power!!

I used to pooh-pooh my Resident Geek's dreams of solar panels, windmills, and an energy-self-sufficient house, but I am gradually coming to think he might be on to something.

One of my cats was apparently determined to prove that he is indeed the epitome of feline style and grace this morning. He was waiting for me outside my bedroom door and, when I came out, spun around to begin his usual attempts to trip me as I traveled up the hallway. Instead, he clocked his head hard enough on the wall beside him to startle me...it wouldn't have been funny if he'd actually hurt himself, but the look of confusion and casual saunter away were classic. :D

In other news, the thunder and lightning passed without issue last night, although it's still raining like mad. The path beside our normally unimpressive 'river' is completely flooded...not that anyone is likely to want to use it in this weather.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Shh... I don't want to hear it.

It was 79F this morning at 4:00AM.. it will likely reach the mid 90s before lunch. Luckily I work in an office and don't have to go outside to earn a living any more.

BTW Thanks for all the hugs and well wishes.

I remember visiting NOLA in late October. I thought it would have gotten cooler by then, but oh dear! It was still hot and humid as could be. Plowed through doing all those plantation tours as early in the day as possible, but it was still difficult walking around, or more like dragging around. I lived in Florida for a few years and you'd think I'd have gotten used to that high humidity but nope, not at all. I was the girl who ran from my air conditioned apartment, to the air conditioned car, to the air conditioned office and did the vice versa bit home again :D
