I saw lots of posts about thunderstorms.

Where I live, we get them... a lot. I LOVE them. Still kinda scared of them, but they do thrill me.

I do not, however, like the fact that my power goes out. Yesterday I had come home early from work after running some work errands, hoping to do some stuff inworld...and I lasted 20 minutes before the huge transformer near the house blew. We were without power for several hours.

Power came back on...yay! Lasted about 3 hours, and then it went off again. grrrr.

The storm has passed...all is well now. :) The air always smells so refreshingly clean and new after one of these big storms...

And...I have to say....during a thunderstorm...well, there is NOTHING better than being safely inside...with one's love...;)

talking about voices.... i love this. i am into this. i have a voice for everyone. and a RL persona. and i'd love to describe them all.

so, i would find it delicious fun to hear what each and every one of you thinks my voice sounds like. oh man, this could be good.

let's pick someone, everyone chime in, and then move on to teh next one. and then, let's all guess what jumpy's voice sounds like. ha ha ha ha ha

Wren I love voice and will be happy to talk to you anytime :)- I spoke with Maureen last night - that was cool - I have never understood why some people are so against it- I mena yes i know, if you are RPing- I get it
but heck- you must come out of character sometime? One time I went to OI Public in a weird avi and for one reason or another we got into a discussion of gender and everyone thought I was a guy when I got into a girl avi rather than the Solar System thing I was wearing - so I went into voice - I know that is a big issue for some folks but it just seems to me that if people cant like you for who you are- then f 'em -

We have constructed these avies... they are a personification of who we perceive ourselves to be... Is that not more real than what nature intended? Guess what? In "RL" I really am NOT 6 foot tall.. I don't have blue green cat eyes and hair that changes on a whim. I am actually 5'3" have yellow/brown eyes and curly brown hair and according to WII fit can stand to lose 20 lbs.. know what? I am 6' tall have hair the color of platinum and the weirdest eyes you ever saw on a human- I like it- it is more "me" than what I was born with- I have been Amaranthim longer than I have Isabel, my given name :) - so - what is real?

regarding voices....

Yes, Mac, I do hear voices. Heh. Not that way, silly. But when I read people's posts, I do have an idea of what their voice is like. Some are deep, some are sultry, some are airy...some are soft...with a slow cadence...others are more staccato. Some voices seem to always have a laugh on the tip of their tongue (or should I say, tip of their fingers)..other voices have a very matter-of-fact tone, some sound jaded or world-weary, perhaps just a bit cynical...And yes, if I know someone is from a particular part of the world, I overlay my idea of an accent.;

But generally speaking? With few exceptions (:D), all the voices I hear in this thread seem to emanate from people with good heads on their shoulders.

Morning all..

We had bad storms last nite and this morning. Lost Electric about 8-8:15 our time so went to bed and read by the camping lantern hehe. And promptly fell asleep. Now I think I got too much sleep.

Oh well. And now it looks like more is coming in darn it. Ever sit in a dark bank during a storm it is kind of scarey.

You are both absolutely right of course, most people call me Gabriele, some do call me Gabs though. I do prefer Gabriele mainly myself but am pretty easy going. Usually though right up until I gleefully drink their lifesblood, I often get called "Little One" and that gets me riled. There is often much pain following a use of "Little One".
