Not only is today the first day of the new 69L Hump Day Wednesday sales, but Moxie Polano has set multiple blue and teal items to sell for 69L and 169L, all arranged around the landing point. The sale is only for today and includes a few short dresses, pant outfits, and long gowns.

What an utter frenzy of dropped prices. Is this to bring in traffic or just more signs of a crashing economy and too much competition?

I think the massive number of hunts that are constantly going on are part of the same thing -- the economy is tight and creators are doing whatever they can to get people into their store.
And, yes, I agree with Love -- no such thing as too much competition (except maybe in the eyes of the seller). _____________________

ha! Well, if the creators want me in their stores during a hunt, they should make their hunt articles easier to find! I'm not saying to have the darn thing out in plain view, but...geez, at the very least, size the dang thing a tad larger than a paper clip! I've pretty much given up doing hunts.
Oh, I've got that Treasure Hunt HUD and it works just fine, but...it would be nice to be able to do the hunts without the HUD - in keeping with the spirit of the word "hunt." It's just that so often the things we're asked to hunt for are smaller than my fingernail or something!  |

Like you said, some places hid the prize in some god awful spots, sometime I needed wireframe mode to find them. One store had about 6 hunts going, I found all the prizes except the one I was looking for. I did get some nice stuff, but wound up tossing more than I kept. The end result is not worth the time expeneded for me, so I am done with them. If I happen to be in a store and see a hunt prize, I'll take it, but I won't go out of my way to look for it. |

Yeah, there are only a few hunts that I do anymore. Most of the grid wide ones have so many stores, that even if the hunt item were in plain sight at the entrance, if would still take a few weeks to get thru the entire hunt. As much as I enjoy the hunts, I do not want to spend my SL time doing nothing but hunts - especially when I usually end up keeping only about 10% of the items. The only hunts I pretty much always do now are store hunts or sim hunts, and usually only the sim-wide ones for places I really like a lot.
