It's good to hear that you're shedding emotional attachments to this unfortunate situation, Tod. I hope your kids are ok?

It is freakin snowing - a high today of about 42 and 1-2 inches of snow, a low of 19 tonight and another 2-4 inches of snow.

I DO NOT WANT WINTER YET.

:(
 I'll try to send some sunshine in your direction, Lil.

Hi guys! Sharing the love, I thought I'd let you know about cute things for Halloween. :) This hair (scripted for 50+ colors) and hat are available in a pumpkin at House of Munster for 10L.

Hi Ann! Not surprisingly you look lovely in this picture.

Some of you may have read my last blog post about Phil Linden's departure from any real input in LL and SL. Eddi Haskell has picked up on it and has added some insight of his own, from a more informed perspective than I have. http://www.eddihaskell.com/

I especially see this quote as quite telling and mot comfort inspiring

From: someone
3. For those of us who have spoken to the highest echelons of Linden Labs about business development, the amount of "kool-aid" they were drinking seemed to increase exponentially. For example, two years ago the mantra 'why should we try to regulate ANYTHING here, this is a microcosm of the real world' has us shaking out heads.

4. Get ready for more tie -ins with major corporations and lord forbid, advertising, for those who do not have premium accounts. Just wait!

Both of Eddi's blogs, his personal page and The Zindra Times are grest reads and are highly recommended.

True, but it does allow for the potential for those with extra to do good work with it, which I still prefer to any of the other suggested alternatives. But I do wish that more who have that extra would do good work with it. There definitely could be more of that.

You hit the nail on the head there. Every day I get more and more fed up at the this money race robbing my ability to enjoy a good book or a symphony or a nice long social session in SL worry free. I'm in an okay position financially, but many of my friends are not. Last weekend I traveled several hundred miles to visit some old science fiction buddies --not a convention, just a get together. They all sat around and talked about money.

I need art and music and wonder. Where is the wonder? Where is the spirituality?

I think the kids he mentioned were hypotheticals, Kaimi.

Pep (But I made the same mistake the first time through as well.)

We're on the same page. As soon as I get enough money together to remodel my house, buy some nice clothes, and secure my grandchildren's financial futures I'm going to look into doing good myself...

And some pure scientific research would be nice too, but good luck getting the funding unless you can prove now it will lead to big profits later. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3m-gOelA8g

Except for the grandchildren part, we're on the same paragraph.

I have been more or less unable to poke my head in as much as normal due to massive teeth ache. Which hit friday night. And still attack me. I might be able to see a dentist on Tuesday. That is all.

That was a yesterday activity actually, after the movie. We had drinks by the pool. The movie was good, scary but not in a blood and gore kind of way. Actually, it was documentary style like the Blair Witch Project. And, Kaimi get this, was said to have happened in San Diego in 2006, the 'incident'. The movie credits thankd the San Diego PD for 'opening their files. ' It unnerved me enough to look under the bed and in the 2nd bathroom before going to sleep. I woke up at 5am, there was no reason to stay in bed as I was driving home today anyway. So, I was home by 11. Short trip but very sweet.

Oh no no! You poor baby!! Painful teeth are so awful. The topical stuff you can buy at the drugstore does often help, I hope you at least have some of that and maybe some morphine or something to get you through until Tuesday. I'm sending some healing energy and love...

I'm glad you had a good time, Treasure. I know you've been working hard lately. Guess I'll just go check under the beds in this house now...

thanks, I have some of that oral-something or other. First time I tried it I do not know if it lessoned pain or not. If pain might have been more, as I still felt pain, but maybe less than would have. Second time I tried that stuff it caused me to feel even more pain, oddly.

Flavored water that has nothing but sodium in it seems to be working somewhat.

Or just be associated with some branch of government cuz they are good at getting and wasting grant money.
