Thank you all for all the lovely pics and posts! It lifts my saddened heart. I have had a rough week. I can't begin to explain. Among other things, an old friend of mine lost her mother on Thursday. My friend and I have not been in touch for a long time. I finally connected with her sister about a year ago. I got an email today about their Mom's death. So tragic http://www.azstarnet.com/altds/pastframe/metro/313294 The back story is that mom had a heart attack while driving. My former roommate was in the back seat. When mom's foot continued to accelerate the car, she unbuckled her seat belt and leaned over the front seat to steer the car away from a bus and a van only to hit the guard rail. She has undergone extensive surgeries since that time. I will go see her soon when she is in a post hospital rehab center. What a way to get back in touch with an old friend. Thanks, in advance, for any virtual hugs. I need 'em. _____________________

 (What, more?)  thanks for all the birthday well wishes. i am a very lucky girl, with lots n lots of good friends, you all included. the festival of 3Ring was more than i could have hoped for. i made a new RL friend during this time, and also deepened some older relationships. looking forward to the future, whatever it may hold. Hi folks. I am incommunicado probably for quite a while I had an almost total computer meltdown to the point I thought I would try a system restore from one of the restore points. The system recommended a restore point from Oct. 16. Sounded good -- but what year that Oct. 16 was I have no idea! Now I have no firewall, no Windows Update, no Multimedia, no Plug and Play, and I can't enable them. I haven't found the divers to reinstall. That means no DVD's, no YouTube, and no Second Life. I'm thinking of just wiping everything and starting over. Ya'll please keep the adventure going. I'll see you in a few days or weeks.   Good luck, Wes. And hugs._____________________

I have seen you post before about how you dislike the use of copyrighted images in the forums. Pep (Like Rhonda flagrantly displayed.) I do not recall saying that. I do recall mentioning how I dislike someone stealing someone else's picture of their cat or dog, slapping a lolcat/dog statment on it and displaying it somewhere. Different issue if the picture is their own. I just hate the idea of someone taking a picture of their kitty, or doggie, someone else slapping some stupid comment on it, and posting it. Like say taking Brenda's picture and slapping some words above and below the picture of the doggie in the window. It is Brenda's picture, not someone else's to mangle. (like say adding "if you don't feed me right now, I will eat this window"  |

I miss when a list of neat places would get started and 100s and 100s of locations would come up. I'd whip out my huge list, copy paste it, others would also. Those were the days. I don't know where anything neat is anymore. At least not to create lists of 100s of places to visit. I keep going through my no longer organized Flickr sets and find those locations no longer inside SL.

In case you did not know, people upload their pictures to the LolCat and LolDog sites specifically so they will get the phrases put on them. Nobody is stealing a picture and putting stuff on it. I've seen many stolen pictures. Some mentioning specifically mentioning their picture appearing without their permission on LolCat and LolDog websites. It has been more than a year since I last looked into it. I have no information now as I've given up caring. |
