Mari, your photos are brilliant as usual. Love the firedancer, so cool. I will try to find your build and Josh's. I will almost certainly get horribly lost so if anyone sees me bumbling about please point me in the right direction.

Aww, thankoo! My camp is at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Burning%20Life-Granite/28/220/24, an if you have trouble finding it, jes iM me inworld an I'll send you a LM.

Mari, congratulations on the successful opening of your Burning Life camp! I decided to hold off until this week to make my forays. :) Great pics. I LOL'ed at the AFK pic. :D

LOVE this non-BL pic:

Well, that is BL, but thanks! Glad you liked the AFK piccie. The work of me, Pygar, Windyy Lane, um, someone who's name I forgot, and Immy.

Great pics, Mari and everyone else. I tried to go to see BL last night, but it's just too much for my little Dell, so I will just live vicariously through you geeks who have hi tech toys.

Try going during off hours later in the week. It might be better for a lower end machine. I can also point you in a few directions to some of the cool stuff (I need to pull together some SLURLs anyway).

From: 3Ring Binder
Mari, your BL recount is fabulous, as always. i SO LOVE the pic of the avatars standing in line for the outhouse. towards the back, the girl in the orange shirt looks like she is about to pee her pants. hysterical!

and congrats on winning Queen at the prom. you n Johnny are totally cute together, as friends of course! :p

i will visit your build this afternoon. i am looking so forward to it.

Thanks! Really neither of us expected t' win that. Surprised us both!

The girl in the orange shirt? That's Dusty Linden again. She originally tried to cut in line a bit, but we all told her that even though she's a Linden, she hadda wait with the rest of us. Someone suggested that she "God Pee," which I don't even wanna imagine. The whole moment was one of those rare slices of Dada absurdity that had us all laughing like mad people. it'd totally do it again.

Hope to see ya there!

Mari, thanks for sharing your weekend, and congrats on homecoming queen! (Umm I think I used to own that dress in RL, when I was your age, that skirt looks familiar. :p )

Thanks, and you are welcome!

That dress is, of all things, the Marianne from Chelsea's Childrens' Clothes. Well, that's what it is here. I dunno what it would have been in First Life. :-)

Mari - the piccies are so cute, especially the Homecoming Queen and King shot -- CONGRATS on that!!!.

I plan on popping over to BL off and on this week, and will definitely make sure I finish my explorations by the weekend. The pics all look so cool.

@3 -- glad the bday celebrations went so well and super cool to get a new friend from it.

♥hug Lula gently again♥

Mari, wonderful pics and description of BL, it really does look like fun. Maybe if I use Nicholaz Old School, I could see or move around. (Brenda, I'll let you know how that goes.)

Congrats on being homecoming queen too - who knew elementary schools had football? Kids grow up so fast these days!

Mo, love the Swiss brekkie, especially the assorted cheeses. What is that bottom pic? Bread with ice cream?

the festival of 3Ring was more than i could have hoped for. i made a new RL friend during this time, and also deepened some older relationships. looking forward to the future, whatever it may hold. :)
That is wonderful. It's good to spend some time in RL... as long as you don't get too carried away with it...

I am incommunicado probably for quite a while

I had an almost total computer meltdown to the point I thought I would try a system restore from one of the restore points.
Ewwww. You are probably right about just wiping the drive and starting over. Hope you get it sorted soon.

Hi folks.

I am incommunicado probably for quite a while

I had an almost total computer meltdown to the point I thought I would try a system restore from one of the restore points. The system recommended a restore point from Oct. 16. Sounded good -- but what year that Oct. 16 was I have no idea!

Now I have no firewall, no Windows Update, no Multimedia, no Plug and Play, and I can't enable them. I haven't found the divers to reinstall.

That means no DVD's, no YouTube, and no Second Life. I'm thinking of just wiping everything and starting over.

Ya'll please keep the adventure going. I'll see you in a few days or weeks.

Oyvey!

My fingers are crossed for you, Weston. *hugs* Good luck!!!

Thank you all for all the lovely pics and posts! It lifts my saddened heart.

I have had a rough week. I can't begin to explain.

Among other things, an old friend of mine lost her mother on Thursday. My friend and I have not been in touch for a long time. I finally connected with her sister about a year ago. I got an email today about their Mom's death. So tragic

http://www.azstarnet.com/altds/pastframe/metro/313294

The back story is that mom had a heart attack while driving. My former roommate was in the back seat. When mom's foot continued to accelerate the car, she unbuckled her seat belt and leaned over the front seat to steer the car away from a bus and a van only to hit the guard rail. She has undergone extensive surgeries since that time.

I will go see her soon when she is in a post hospital rehab center. What a way to get back in touch with an old friend.

Thanks, in advance, for any virtual hugs. I need 'em.

I am so sorry, Lula, what a terrible thing to happen. I'm glad you are back in touch with your friend to be there for her, now......

The kittens seem to have doubled in size in this short time! I need to start looking for homes for them soon. :(
