I still have not turned it on. I just hope it is not over the top, flapping in the breeze movement.
No it isn't and apparently not even visible on some computers depending on the graphics card.

I heard they were having the Ruby Slipper hunt again in celebration of their anniversary, but I lost the notecard and LM, so I have to remember to just go there.

Popping in and popping out. Nice photos everyone. I did get one of the flying monkeys (although they are hard to see).

What a cool sim. I forgot all about the hunt and just ogled the build :)

oooooh! nice. Did you see any flying monkeys???

Yes all over the Witch's Castle, my favorite part of the sim. You can fish there and in Munchkinland. I've been trying to finish up the Slipper Hunt, but I keep crashing even with the new Emerald and the standard viewer. I'm thinking it may be a memory leak. Well now i have something to tell Rhonda i need for xmas. =o.O=

Thanks Brenda! i like green, lots and lots of green. Even the neon-almost-yellow green, but i am very very weird. =^.^=

The Oz hunt lasts until the 18th, but was suspended last night for a dance and, as of early this morning, still wasn't back on.

The hunt is fun, but really I'm just happy that the owners of this wonderful sim are not only still ingame, but evidently expanding (there's another sim being built next door). I think I'll make all my Laughing Academy purchases in Oz from now on. And, for fun steampunky widgets, JD Mechanical Toys is a great place to know about!

Yep! Silver slippers actually, they go by the book. =^.^= But due to trickery by the Wicked Witch they turn into hats in your inventory, but Glinda has a few tricks up her bubble. Wear the hat in the appropriate store by the witch's broom and then click the hat. You get a gift and help Glinda turn the broom ordinary so the Wicked Witch can't use it.

Brenda you have a hint of steampunk with that outfit. i want to play with your buttons. =>.<=

No they are boots. "Keira" from Baby Monkey. I didn't attach the upper prims. The sweater and slacks are from Pixel Mode.

It's snowing here!!!!!

Welcome to winter. It snowed here off and on almost all of last weekend, though pretty much no accumulation at my house -- snow was too light and ground still too warm. We did finally have our first hard freeze thought -- that is what caused that damn burst pipe that hubby has to fix when he gets back in town tomorrow.

And yes it officially winter as far as Colorado is concerned -- 2 ski resorts are open.

I'm not very happy about this. It was this same time last year we had that freak snowstorm that gave us a real heavy wet snow. It cuased tree barnches to fall on my car, twice, in the same day.

*Pours herself 2 fingers of Scotch and settles in for the afternoon.

Wow I've had an absolutely craptastic last few weeks in Second Life. I've always helped out my sim owner in managing her sims and I never asked for anything in return and was in theory just a regular tenant that paid their rent on time and wanted a nice peaceful happy home in SL. I just like helping out when I can just because that's what I do.

Well things started to go south for the estate owner in rl life and she asked me for more help as she had to scale down the estate. While I often am lazy with my own stuff, which is often to my own detriment by helping others first, I am absolutely anal with details when it comes to someone else's business. I sent regular group notices about the status of the sims that I had her pre-approve first, held townhall meetings to answer questions for which all conversations were logged and emailed to her as well as creating a shared google document outlining everything that was said detailing all the follow-up and stuff she had to do. Any financial things, people were told to speak directly to her and anything involving money were things she asked me to pass along and the text was sent to her for pre-approval. Communications with her were tenuous at best and got increasingly worse as I was swamped with IMs from annoyed tenants. I was never ever an estate manager and certainly never paid for all that I did but I saw someone that was going through a really tough time in real life and tried to help her.

Now things are completely closing down and there are annoyed people and misinterpretation about refunds and rents. While I know that no one is blaming me because I was just the messenger, I'm just thoroughly annoyed at all the he said, she said, when I have emails and chat logs to document everything that was said. There was ample opportunity to clarify any misunderstandings by the sim owner as they were essentially given real time information on anything that was said by me. Hell none of this was even my job, and while it won't stop me from helping others in the future, I'm pretty peeved over this.

Anyways, enough whining but I had to vent lol. Here's a pic of my little puppy Dexter Pawpad (who's my fake sl partner as well lol) on our last day at my treehouse some of you may have seen during the home tour. I really should have had Dexter poop all over the sims before we left but I didn't. The awesome moving truck is courtesy of Marianne who helped me out in a time of need! Now I just need to finish up my Burning Life build which took a backseat dealing with all this mess. Hope you're all having a better few weeks than I've had.

That video died on my old computer which killed itself through overheating.
Was it a laptop? (Sorry, couldn't resist...)
