Ahh, yes. I have been to Mexico. I just didn't know they have hang gliding. Time for a return visit!

Folks -- I had an epiphany today I wanted to share. (Sorry for the long post.)
For some years I have been more and more uncomfortable and nervous at work. In truth it is a stressful environment with pressure from both management and clients often simultaneously and at odds. I have been unable to cope with it to the point when I get home I don't want to talk to anyone, not on the phone, not even in SL! The environment is so bad, I think I have been trying to escape from it and became very jealous of my down time. I didn't want to go to sleep at a reasonable hour - that was cutting into my down time. Lack of sleep made it even harder to cope, making me sleep even less to try to have more conscious downtime, etc. Last night I got a good 8 and half hours and today, it didn't seem like everyone was out to take a bite out of me all day. The stress is still there, and people still want the impossible, but I can respond to them better. The moral is - get some sleep! Don't let this happen to you. You will start gaining weight, lines in your face, and generally looking and feeling like a skid row bum. My trouble is I'm interested in too damn much. I still resent not being able to do all the things I want, like reading every book I can find, hearing every piece of music ever written and watching every movie and then watching it again with the commentary track AND be in SL and explore that world AND be doing my artwork too, but I just can't and shouldn't try. So from now on, 10:00pm is bed time. No later! If I can keep that up, maybe I'll even feel like socializing in SL more. Who knows? So good night, all. May your dreams be of flying, freedom, and friends. _____________________

Oooh. Where do you go to do that? I want to try it. or do you just get a hang glider and take off? I've found that the train tracks near the Great Wall tend to be rezz zones. I rezzed a hang-glider there and went flying. The one in the picture is mine. There is one in hangout group notices also. Chichen Itza is a neat place in and of itself, but they also have a hang-glider there to glide around on. Put "Visit Mexico" into map search. |

That picture happens to be at the Viva Mexico! sim - where Lexxi took that whole batch. If you've never been, it's a fabulous place to explore, with good documentation at every historic site. Really, it does give you the feeling that you've been on a vacation to Mexico. Heh, the first one, the one Weston quoted, was not at Visit Mexico. Oh, is it Viva Mexico? Well, one of the other. The picture of me in hang-glider was on old continent. Near Great Wall. |

Oh, Weston, I know what you mean about staying up late to have some time to yourself. I used to do that...until I realized that, as much as I wanted time to myself, I needed my sleep much, much more.
![]() I'm hoping you got another good night's sleep last night, too, and that you're able to face today's craziness in a rested, relaxed frame of mind. ![]() |

Folks -- I had an epiphany today I wanted to share. (Sorry for the long post.).... Wow, that's like reading about myself ! So little time, so much to do! I came to the same conclusion this summer. I had surgery in the spring an severe back problems ever since. It's kept me out of work and with a lot of time on my hands. Various lessons came from this, several understandings about how things work and how they don't. I managed to change jobs through all that (imagine going through an interview process while not being able to sit up straight), lose weight I didn't really need to lose, discover a better way to eat etc etc However, Number One secret to feeling better in all ways : Get enough sleep! _____________________

I so rarely see a female avatar in a skirted business suit!!! I think I have one but I usually wear the pants. I have a WWII era uniform I wear the skirt with. It is my USO Club outfit. _____________________

ooh...a WWII uniform? pxplskthxbai I will try and remember it tonight ![]() It is a JASDF (Japan Air Self-Defense Force) women's officer uniform. Unless you know what you are looking for (which I do not) you would just think it was a WAC's uniform from the 40's. I bought it specifically to wear at The USO Club which is a US, WWII themed dance hall. It is my little joke of being in an enemy uniform ![]() And speaking of that, the USO club is humans only. When Clover goes with me, she keeps her ears on and "pins them back." She lays them flat and wears a hair style that covers them. I love the fact that she does this for me. She is still my kitty no matter where we go. _____________________

Last night I did something that made me literally howl out loud with laughter.
My partner Cindi got notice that there was a "best monster" contest at a club of hers. So she put on a cute little Vampire costume, and I put on a Velociraptor avatar from Grendel's Children. Then I put on a collar, edited it to fit my size 127 neck, and let Cindi leash me. We went to the club as Vampire and Pet Monster. Have you ever seen a Velociraptor dance some of the sexy Sine Wave moves? It is SOOOO funny! Plus I was livening up the party with Jurassic humor the entire time. ps - I won the contest. ![]() _____________________
