FFS - A neighbor just knocked on my door. She heard the sound of water spraying and came to check. I have a burst pipe just outside the house, a flooded yard (no biggie), a flooded basement, and my husband is out of town on business.

Guess I get to play with the wetvac now.

*sigh*

Yeah, cuz even though we have a large wet vac, I am not so sure I can lift it by myself to empty it.

Does it have a drain plug? Mine does, I usually drain it that way.

:( Good luck. I hope it's as easy and quick as possible to take care of it.

Hi thread folks! Hope everyone had a super weekend and has an extra super week to come!

I hadda a pretty busy weekend. For one, this was the last weekend of building for Burning Life. An here I am, workin' away!

But the camp is about done now, so I spent a lot of time doin other fun stuff.

First, I went to the opening of Imagine Peace Tower at Burning Life. This was quite cool. It's a project of Yoko Ono's, and was help on the anniversary of John Lennon's birth. She was lighting the RL tower in Iceland, and also doing the one in Second Life the same day. Here's a shot of the tower once lit.

There was a ton of people there. I think I saw a high of 95 people. The sim stayed pretty stable though. Certainly more than I expected. Yoko was fab (she was hosting the event and at the computer, though to be fair there was a "ghost mover" helping with the avatar wrangling). Very cool event. I'd love to see more along these line, really.

Anyway, there was horseback riding with Kid Scouts on Saturday, through the wilds of Avaria

And the command performance of Professor Antfarmoffski's Flea Circus with "The Show Must Go On" show in Phobos.

And more fun with trains, and chatting with friends, and exploring a couple places in Burning Life, and...

More work. It's fall, and I know why it's called that:

Have fun, all!

Oh what the heck, more piccies from the weekend. 'Cuz really, why not?

Yoko Ono's avatar, dancing with the crowd. About as close a shot I could get with me in it. Oh, and yes, her avatar's name is "Yoko Ono." Very cool

Building a Harry Potter™ display at HardKnock Elementary on Friday. I made the Puppet Pals, kinda. :-)

One of Professor Antfarmoffski's fleas, just before a tragic accident:

An old SLRR "commuter." i guess a sensor went nuts again. Very odd. Cool to see 'em on the tracks, even if they're quite impossible since Havok 4:

*smiles at Mari* Wow...you outdid yourself with this episode of Mari's Weekend Update!

That must have been very exciting to participate in the "imagine Peace Tower" event. 95 avatars!!!

Loved the Harry Potter pic...well, I loved all your pics! Each time I read about your activities, and view your pics...I just warm up inside, and smile. Thank you, Mari. :)

@Lil - sorry to hear about the flooding! Good luck with cleaning up, and watch out for the electric wires!

@Mari - what a weekend! It's funny you mentioned Yoko Ono, because Ann OToole mentioned her just last week in a post about avatar names. She said there is only one "Ono" in SL. I like her avatar.

You really get around, girl!

Good Morning. A Happy Thanksgiving to our cousins to the North. And a Happy Holiday to us here in the States who may have one, which I will not name as to keep the PC Brigades from wadding up their panties.

There, I said it. Let the panties hit the floor. :)

And to really get them going, I am flying my Gadsden Flag at half staff in memory of Robert E. Lee.

Also on this day in history:

Today marks the 150th anniversary of one of the greatest political and legal declarations in American history: the October 12, 1859 decree by Joshua Norton I, Emperor of the United States of America and Protector of Mexico. If we ran the schools, every schoolchild would be required to memorize the words of the only monarch ever to preside over the United States:

"It is represented to us that the universal suffrage, as now existing through the Union, is abused; that fraud and corruption prevent a fair and proper expression of the public voice; that open violation of the laws are constantly occurring, caused by mobs, parties, factions and undue influence of political sects; that the citizen has not that protection of person and property which he is entitled to by paying his pro rata of the expense of Government–in consequence of which, WE do hereby abolish Congress, and it is therefore abolished; and WE order and desire the representatives of all parties interested to appear at the Musical Hall of this city on the first of February next, and then and there take the most effective steps to remedy the evil complained of."

The evil that Emperor Norton abolished, of course, was the Congress of the United States of America.

The Musical Hall?

The Emperor was obviously angling for a dance-off.

Threads like this here: https://blogs.secondlife.com/thread/3331 are one reason I dislike the answers forum. First time I have visited in a while. Thread is answered so . . . no new information can be given. Information contained in the thread is not exactly 100% accurate. At least in the impression that there is only one way to use RLV.

I do not understand. What is wrong with celebrating, nationally, Columbus Ohio?

Yeah, isn't that stupid? It's set up so you can ask a question, get a random answer, and go away.

Howdy folks!

I hope that everyone that gets the day off (for whatever reason, eh) is enjoying it.

Busy, busy weekend. I've only backtracked far enough to see that Lil is having plumbing problems.

Send me a plane ticket and stock up on beer and I'll rush over to sort that out for you. :D

I hope you didn't have too much damage or too big of a mess to clean up.
