It might look glassy but the harbour was surprisingly rough

Poor old Pep has turned white:eek:

but no losing me landlubber legs for me, I had to come home and (re) kick start the sim:

G'night all :-) Don't let the sand flies bite.

I'm still chuckling over the "kick-start" pic! :p

Oooh, I like this one. :) Watching for the ship(s) to come in. :)

LOL, "ship(s)" . . .

I was working on my "Hello, Sailor!" . . . spoken in a thick Highland accent, of course!

ETA: I've been sort of inspired by the really beautiful pics people have been posting, to start taking more pics myself (I really have very few), and, more importantly, learn how to do it PROPERLY. Using Photoshop, which I am pretty good at, really.

Of course, I'd have to get in-world occasionally to do THAT . . .

*sigh*

Just got back from a mega night out (I learnt a new phrase - cool beans :p) and found out Stephen Gately (was in boyzone) has passed :(

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/ireland/article6869799.ece

Not heard anything about him in a while, but it's very sad news :(

wow...so young. :(

I was playing around with building and art and stuff, and ended up with this picture here.

Looks like one of those cardboard cutouts where you can stick your head through and get someone to take your pic! :p

Neat pic, Lexxi.

I am not a zombie any more. I got better.

Also, Clover found a top to go with a skirt and corset I have had for a while now.

ooooh...yummy. The pieces work very well together. :)

Glad you recovered from your zombie-ness. :p

I might have detected a new trend in SL, possibly brought here by people used to other virtual worlds aimed at kids and teenagers. This is the 'big head' avatar - usually a pretty female one, attempting to look realistic but with a greatly oversized head and enlarged eyes. These mimmick the cartoony style of avatars in some of these other worlds - not quite manga but something like it. So are big heads going to become the norm in our future SL???

I've not taken many pics recently...I have to get cracking so I can at least try to catch up with everyone! :o

And what time I've spent inworld recently, I've been working on our new house. :)

One thing that comes up often is the topic of SL habits that come over to the RL. For me, it has to to be the atl-click and drag. I just wanted to see what this looked like from the back :o

Thank you, Ladies, for the comments. Nothing like having your ego stroked by some of the most beautiful women in SL :)

I seldom do any post work on the photos any more. Sometimes, before I get everything lined up and I find jut the right windlight settings Colver has already taken a snapshot, cropped, edited and framed it and uploaded the result. :)

I love the perspective on your pics, Lexxi.

zombies!! Has anyone seen that movie, "Zombieland"?

thanks :) I have not seen Zombieland, myself. I do not normally watch horror films, though this one is a comedy, so maybe.

Neat pic, Lexxi.

I was playing with the new building shapes I found while I was in the Emerald viewer. Neat effects. Like ones with holes in the middle. heh. I didn't actually work on which texture would work best with a hole in middle and head seen through, I was caught up in "ooh neat", so that texture might not be best.

I neither have nor know how to use Photoshop. I have paint pro but I mostly just crop with it. I have limited computer skills. "ooh, this button turns computer on, this one turns off . . ." that's me.

There is an Erotic Treasure Hunt, called Eros, going on that I just found out about -- not on any of the usual blogs/websites. Only 25 locations -- starting point is X-clusives Animations:

http://slurl.com/secondlife/XCLUSIVES%20ANIMATIONS/128/127/411

There is a sign there that will give you a notecard of all the LMs and a hint card.

*sigh* for some reason I'm finding it impossible to concentrate on what I'm supposed to be doing. It's actually pretty annoying. Stupid brain.

Anyway, figured I'd catch up on the thread, see what people are up to lol.
I have a feeling its just another avoidance tactic lol.

LOL---you should be in bed, young lady!!!! :p It's a school night! :p

But I know what you mean about it being frustrating when you're trying to focus on something, and you cannot. Is it studying? Perhaps a change of venue...Someplace where there are fewer distractions? Maybe...one of the university libraries? Or sometimes studying in an empty classroom can be helpful...

For anyone that maybe didn't get all they wanted at the most recent Total Betty sale, they are having a moving sale -- 75% off everything.
