if you wanna stay on Pep's good side, you better stop these public displays of affection towards me.

It is impossible for me NOT to be on Pep's good side. Your reasoning is flawed from the foundation. You have it quite backwards ;)

Mwah!

What a ridiculous thing to say!!!

Pep (Everyone *knows* I don't have a good side, don't they? )

Liar! Stroked-y stroked-y stroke. (Does this count as 3 or 1?)

Oops, this is in public isn't it?

The intellectual whitewashing your bf is undergoing must be quite dispiriting for you, I suppose. :(

Pep (Perhaps you should return to making me too comments over in SCII instead. ;) )

I think her bf has been doing a great job standing up for himself, for her, and for people in general, who don't stand up for themselves. I admire so much, smart men, who are also kind. It's a rare combination and Eli shows it every time. He doesn't take s*** but he's not an asshat about it either. Kudos and hats off to intelligent nice guys, there aren't exactly a plethora of them around.

Ach, Eli, everyone who knows me knows I am a free agent. No partners in crime or otherwise. That's why I get to have this cool little thing called my own opinion and don't have to check with any other half to formulate it. It's wicked.

You and 3 can stand just outside the banlines, I will pass you those little weenies wrapped in biscuits from the reception, what are they called? Ah, pigs in blankets.

That's a first!

Pep ("smart", "intelligent" and "Eli" in the same post; misguided but worth noting.)

You don't even do *that* right!

Pep (It's bacon not 'biscuits'; much tastier. )

For once in my life, I have to agree with Pep.

Bacon makes everything much tastier.

Now if only you'd serve bacon wrapped in bacon at your reception? Mmmm....bacony goodness. :D

I guess I'll have to take back what I have said about you, Eli . . .

Pep ( . . . you really *are* that stupid! :D )

Oh good! Another day, another round of towel-snapping in the boys' locker room!

:D

I will give Eli full points for realizing, albeit somewhat late in the game, that the best thing to do is retain a sense of humour about this whole thing. And not to take Pep TOO seriously.

Here's the thing. Pep isn't nasty because he REALLY dislikes people, or because he is constitutionally mean. Nastiness is, for him, a means to an end, and the end is to be "amusing" and "witty." As a result, he DOES say things that leave me groaning inwardly (and sometimes even outwardly), but it is generally evident (to me, anyway) that the content is disposable: it's the form that matters.

And no, I am not trying to justify Pep. He can do that himself. Just explain him. (Sorry if I have "outed" you, Pep :D )

PS. Laurin, not to self-advertise, but I have officiated at a number of SL weddings. If you think that you and Pep might be requiring my services, feel free to give me a shout. Alternately, I'd be delighted to "give away" the groom during the ceremony! :D

/me wonders if 3Ring and Eli have pre-school relatives . . .

Pep ( . . . from whom they steal their attempts at insults. :p )

PS I'm enjoying how stupid you are making yourselves look.
