The Linden gods smote me :(

I was having lunch.. so I snuck in to tweak my current obsession and i needed rain sounds.. i had this perfectly innocent looking thing marked Thunderstorm.. I rezzed it.
A huge cloud of black enveloped me! I culd not see!! The wind howled, the thunder roared! The very tree shook around me (OK, maybe not quite but..) then suddenly, though the rain continued to fall- the world had disappeared. Poof - nothing but sky arund me- :( The storm had washed away my new world..

(Fortunately, it landed in inventory- whew!)
That sounds like it could be a lot of fun. Especially if you were able to "batten down the hatches" before it started so as not to incur damage.

Still in construction - don't have hatches yet- i just sort of got metaphorically soaked :(

Last night, Mo and I tried out a game call En Garde!

It's "fencing". But it is really a turn based strategy card game with fencing as the theme. It sounds overly simple if you just read the rules. But it is quite fun to play. :)

Well...maybe I'm just saying that because I won. :p

/me stalks up to you and throws down her glove.

You and me, Mousie. If you can tear yourself away from your lovely lady long enough to come and be killed.

Oh, @ Marianne: I love the "biker chick" pic! I understand that you really did get tough on some griefers over in one o' the Welcome Areas last night. The nickname "Kid Cage" has been heard in some quarters.

...and one further: The transcripts of those Brown Bags are NOT available. The dang meetings have, I understand, been conducted primarily in Voice. It seems that even the Lindens are aware of how easy it is to stay off the record if you talk, not type.

Yeah, I'm just trying to envision the scene when Sean first espied the costume he was to sport in that movie. I sure hope they paid him well. :p

Closed door, by invitation only undocumentable meetings, only disseminating information through the blog or one forum thread, where most residents will not see it. Standard LL transparency. You can't get a more predictable SL experience than that.

Was editing the pics that I took from exploring AM Radio's sims/exhibits yesterday. This one came out really nice, so I thought I would share:

Gorgeous pic, Lil!

And hello Threadsters...could some of you snowbound folk send me some chill, please? It's over 100 degrees today and I fear I'm going to melt. :(

Your reports and great pics are one of my favorite things about Mondays, Mari. I hope you are feeling a lot better now or very soon.

Thankoo. I *am* feeling better. Jes hadda bad head-egg on Saturday, but it passed. :-)

Hee! Mostly, I was jes there *getting* caged. Becoes that much easier to use the mystitool collisions notices in Abuse Reports that way. Fr that outing, though, I wore a pretty spring dress, and left the leather jacket in my inventory. ;-)

F'r me, this was frustrating, because those of us attending had been told that the majority of the interaction would be in text, *not* voice. They have had a Linden there (Pete) who was recording the proceedings, so I would *hope* those are somewhere.

Clive Owen, was in "Children of Men". Also a great movie from several years back, "Croupier" - not very well known but worth seeing.
