Life is good - modeling school finished (again), mall is doing well, Bunny Hop completed (but as yet unpacked), and tonight I feel like cleaning out landmarks so I'm hopping throughout the grid. Yell if you see me!

When I was a kid and the Padres were minor league we all rooted for the Dodgers (in L.A, by then) as our major league team. I'll still root for them once the Padres are out of contention. We only had Chris here for his final year in baseball. He wasn't Tony. (Tony won 5 golden gloves as well as eight batting titles.) But I think it was nice for Tony to have him here.

If you're going to keep posting pictures like this I say go for it.

I feel obliged to mention that I drove a taxi for three years and definitely never picked my nose then or ever since I was about three. I have seen other drivers doing it though.

btw Tod I do understand that your heart is truly full of love for your fiancee. Earlier I didn't mean to imply that it isn't although I realized later that I what I said came out that way.

Love isnt just blind. Its deaf, dumb, and stupid as hell.

I spent 7 years ditching friends & family for her. Even passed on my niece & nephew's birth for her. Fought with my dad physically for her. Spent money I couldnt afford to lose for her.

All in the name of making her "happy".

This is it. She either comes to her senses, gets her head on straight, or I am out. If she fails in Kentucky I will NOT care!!! I will NOT spend the money to bring her back. She can become a whore for all I care.

She's already abandonned Facebook & MySpace.

Her mother & sister both say she does nothing but wake up in the late afternoon to get online to talk to "friends".

I offered to drive her to the Clinic to get an HIV test after her rape. Its been 7 weeks and she hasnt called them. PLUS- I find out from her mother & sister that she knew the guy & lied to the cops about him.

I refuse to love or trust anyone that much ever again.

Ouch. Coming out of a divorce myself, so I can understand the feeling too well.

Back from the desert wedding, and the wildflowers were fantastic! The wedding went well: only one fight! Thanks for the well-wishes. I hope the bride is still on speaking terms with our family after the "incident." Poor thing. At least this time it wasn't my fault...folks should know better than to invite exes to sit at the same table, even if they appear conciliatory.

What has happened here? Do we still get fine coffee and rashers? I'm so tired I could really use a decent breakfast.

I don't believe there's anything stupid about feeling love in your heart; it means you're a good person. Hoping to get back something from someone who isn't able to give it *is* a bit futile but I'm sure both you and she learned a lot from the whole experience even if it doesn't seem so yet.



Trying to protect yourself by making inflexible and extreme rules for the future is a natural reaction when you've been hurt. Obviously you don't want to fall for the same kind of woman again. But some day you might meet a woman who it would do you good to love and trust whole heartedly. For now just see what you can do to make your own life good.

Sorry to get all preachy but I was young once and I think I know something about what you're going through. Please just ignore me if I'm reading it wrong. Big Hug from me.

Tod, you keep posting about your RL as if you want our thoughts ... mine are supportive, but I do have some cautions. Here's one thought: You say you're 39, yes? Recent research shows rather strong evidence of developmental slowness in children with older fathers. If you want kids, maybe its time to drift away from 20-somethings with hot bodies and major problems, and toward a stable woman who wants a family with a caring guy, like yourself.

If you don't want a family, then there's nothing stopping you from continuing to pursue the sex-and-drahma roller coaster adventure you now have. That which some people find stimulating, others find tortuous. I'm sure there's something you enjoy about your relationship with your ex-not-ex that keeps you coming back. It's been so longstanding now that I'm quite sure it is not completely unselfish on your part, that there is some sort of satisfaction for you both, even if outsiders like myself simply can't see it.

My parents are a dying breed- people who've been together, stayed together, more than 30 years. Ok, going on 42 since April 1st.
