My DVR menu, as far as sceduled shows go: House, Criminal Minds, CSI (Vegas), Law and Order SVU, Family Guy, Burn Notice, Rescue Me,Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother. Throw in whatever interests me on History Channel, BBC America or any of the movie channels, plus now it's Baseball and NASCAR season, so that fills up my TV time. _____________________

Last night I watched "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" with my eleven-year-old daughter, Emma.
You need to know that in real life I laugh a LOT. If you talk to me inworld and you see "Key laughs" I'm usually laughing in real life. I've told Emma the story -- though I don't know if it's true -- but supposedly during the production of the film, someone died laughing watching the rushes of the scene where the men are all stuck on top of a very long fire ladder. I was laughing as I told her, but Emma said, "That isn't funny, Mom! It's NOT! How can you laugh? The man DIED!" Well! When we were watching the film, we were coming up to that scene, and I said, "Oh, Emma, this is that scene I was telling you about!" Her eyes got really big, and when I began chuckling, she put her hand on my arm and said, "Please, Mom, PLEASE don't laugh!" I began to grin, so she paused the film and said, "Really, Mom! I'm not kidding!" I looked at her expression, and said, "Okay, don't worry," and bit my tongue through that part of the film. |

You need to have a LOOOOONNNG talk with that girl. About what? "Listen, Emma, if I die, it *might* be funny. If it is, it's okay to laugh, alright?" |

Goodnight my pretties. I'm heading out to the glory that is the Joshua Tree area of SoCal for my brother's wedding Saturday. I am bringing coffee. For this act, my family has already forgiven me all of my various sins. I would W00t, if I didn't have a grumpy reputation to uphold. Aw heck, it's a wedding: hugs all around! Maybe even a few kisses! ![]() A good reason not to worship guns. BSD = "Big Swinging Dick", a personality disorder popularised by my cousin Michael Lewis in his book "Liar's Poker" whereby bankers mistakenly thought success in making money in a rising market was an analogy for sexual prowess. Pep (the corollary of which would be that they are all now impotent) Enjoy yourself Bith! Weddings are good fun . . . Pep ( . . . as long as *you* aren't the one getting married) ohhhh, that looks yummy. Strawberries...blueberries...mmmmm _____________________

American Idol is one of the few so-called Reality shows where at least the contestants are not spending all their time backstabbing each other. And you actually get to hear some decent talent. Let me know when the decent talent shows up lol. None of them have been all that good or successful lol _____________________
