From: Nika Talaj Really? I don't regard being a switch as a particularly bad thing. But, I'm completely willing to apologize, and in fact I do, if anyone has found it offensive.
I'm deleting the post. If anyone wants to delete their quote of it, works for me. Just goofing around! . Not that being a switch is offensive- the offense would be to him to imagine him as such. But that's just my interpretation, I should not presume to speak for him. I did like very much the subtle slap yougave that Bambi twit, btw.

From: Allegria Kanto Oh Amar, it didn't cross my mind that you were condesceding, or being sarcastic... I took your remark in the spirit it was intended, kind and conciliatory. You are dear to me too, hon. No worries, K? Goody all good

FFS these damn hunts really are getting out of control. Here is the list of what is currently going on that I know of (who knows what I don't know about):
Go Fly a Kite Gridwide -- Mar 15 - Apr 19 Psychotic Easter Hunt -- Mar 20 - Apr 12 Indie Rose Egg Hunt -- Mar 21 - Apr 18 Extreme Desires Hunt -- Mar 24 - Apr 12 The Bunny Hop Gridwide -- Mar 27 - Apr 19 Relay For Life -- Apr 19-25 and another May 17-23 Top Designers Hunt -- Apr 1-30 Best of Friends Peeps Hunt -- Apr 1-30 Estival Island Egg Hunt -- Apr 1-30 Peeps Easter Egg Hunt -- Apr 1-30 Spring Is In The Air Griidwide -- Apr 1-30 Gone Fishing Hunt -- Apr 1-30 S&M Designs Hunt -- Apr 2-15
And from a notecard - these are "Coming Soon" 05/01/09-05/31/09=SL Discovery Grid Wide Hunt 05/25/09-07/04/09=Through the Looking Glass Hunt 05/30/09-07/20/09= GL OMG!!!! It's Another Hunt
And none of that is counting the twice monthly Treasure Quest hunts that have been happening since before I came to SL, and the monthly Eolande hunts that have been happening for at least a year -- both of those going on long before hunts became "the thing".
I'm not even trying them all anymore

From: Amaranthim Talon Oh Kaimi- it is amazing the amount of clarity at a moment like that... I know what you mean; a long time ago I told a boyfriend (who had never been physically abusive) that it was over. He pinned me to the bed put his hands around my neck, said, "I'm going to kill you." And squeezed until I passed out. I still remember it all quite clearly. Fortunately he stopped as soon as I was unconscious and I was ok. When I came to he looked scared, I told him to leave, and he did. From: Amaranthim Talon WHILE I beat the snot out of him (this was a home invasion and my attacker and I were physically of a similar size) I actually considered the damage m blows could do and knowingly did not strike where and as hard as could do the most damage- that is the stupid part. I was completely able to at least attempt to get rid of him and i didn't. Later I found out he had been under the influence of drugs which only makes sense since he didn't just fall down unconscious at the time- and yes it turned out death was not really necessary- but still from a survival point of view - killing him would have been in my best interest. Unless it, God forbid, actually happens I'll never know if I could do it but I've heard so many stories about women who defended themselves half heartedly and ended up dead or badly hurt. If someone breaks into my home I tell myself I have to assume they are the worst type of monster - and wake up my husband, who is 6'6", has studied martial arts, and keeps a knife in the drawer under the bed. But if he's not there I have to do as much damage to the intruder as I possibly can. Breaking his knees with something heavy would be good but if I have to stab him (or her) in the heart I hope I will. From: Tod69 Talamasca Ok, I may be back with the Fiancee, looking at engagement rings & wanting to marry her.... BUT..... She still wants to move to Kentucky, with 2 friends, to get a Mall Job to pay for tuition at any business school that will take her. WHY must things be THIS difficult??? BTW- one reason she wants to move there is to "escape the rednecks here" My heart goes out to you. My first reaction is this woman isn't good for you. But I know it's not that easy. Sometimes you just can't give up on someone you love. You have to let it play out until either it gets better or the pain outweighs the pleasure long enough that you are able to let go. If you can keep your heart pure and avoid playing games yourself or becoming bitter or vindictive you'll learn a lot about yourself and there's a good chance you'll be a stronger person for the experience. For what it's worth, I'm sending you affection and hope for the best. From: Pserendipity Daniels Well, it's breakfast time and since most of the girls seem to be demonstrating classical penis envy...
Pep (No BSD Syndrome here) This woman is happy with her body. What is BSD Syndrome? Kai (OK maybe I am a bit envious of women who have noticeable bosoms.) Wow! Who knew? Thanks Amara. From: Brenda Connolly @Kaimi: If there is anyone that would be able to do a Picard and talk their way out of trouble it would be you, but I wouldn't want to be on the other end if you couldn't. I'm sure they'd get a huge can of whoop from you.
Truer even than you might think. Kai (former bartender and wrangler of emotionally disabled teenagers) From: Brenda Connolly I definitely would not want to be on the receiving end of your attack....there would be nothing left to bury. Same here. 3, if I ever start to look at your kids funny just tell me and I'll stop. I promise. From: 3Ring Binder i can't decide if that's true or not.
either he loves strong woman because he enjoys the challenge, or he's threatened by them because he can't control them. i'll wager the latter is most likely. I've known plenty of men who were both.

From: Key MacMoragh As promised, here are the photos of my male avatar. The first is my BEFORE photo, before the makeover. Skin is from Pulse; the shape is a freebie I modified. I thought I looked okay, but now I can see why my friend was laughing at me. And this is AFTER the makeover: And this last is my makeover skin with my old shape: The clothes are from Honeybear's store. The hair is a freebie. Freaky, huh? The middle one is on the freaky side. The top one is pretty good, but the stubble does look a bit more masculine.

There's a healthy fast-food place near my office and while I was waiting in line I heard the cashier ask someone her name... to call out when her order was ready, obviously.
I suddenly thought, "When it's my turn, I'll say my name is Key," and got all ready to do it... after all, it's just a thing to shout so somebody comes forward.
I was ready... and I was ready... and I was ready... but when she asked me my name I said, "uhhhhh..." [big pause] and then my real name.
It's probably because she was wearing glasses and looked me in the eye as she asked.
Next time!

I think I'll have to mix in aspects of the middle one into the last one. The girl who did the makeover is in her early twenties... she was aiming for something that SHE would like, so you know... My first reaction was, "The shoulders are too big!" I promised I'd live with it a bit, but you know what Mary Poppins says about "pie-crust promises: easily made and easily broken."

From: Lindal Kidd A little more time on the range will fix that. A shotgun can also make up for less than perfect aim as well.

The nights are too quiet I'm seriously poetry impaired. I usually don't get it. But this works for me; it is lovely.
