To lighten things up....ME! Just a few minutes ago, getting ready to go into Shiny Things



At Disneyland they have hundreds of wild domesticated cats running around the park. They never come out during the day because there's too many people, but the reason they're there is to catch the mice.

Yes, my classes taught me to never ever draw my gun unless I intended to kill. Whether or not that is is the actual result is irrelevant - people that try to threaten and bluff usually end up getting themselves hurt.

A few years back Colorado passed a "make my day" law that basically gives me permission to use deadly force if someone unlawfully enters my home and I have reasonable belief that the intruder intends to commit a crime in my home and use any sort of force doing it. Unlike most situations in Colorado, in this one case, I do not have to wait to be fired upon or actually even wait until my own life is in danger. I am simply allowed to use deadly force to protect my home and my family.
Being brought up in Northern New Hampshire I had firearm safety hammered into my pretty little head from the time I was 14. Going for a walk in the woods involved taking the .32 single action revolver, just in case you ran into a wild wolf or something. Never carry a firearm unless you are absolutely commited to using it without hesitation, I agree (which is why I don't carry). Just am thinking that if I had the choice of putting one between the eyes or shooting out both shoulders and leaving the attacker alive, I could not bring myself to do the former (with the caveat that the latter would sufficiently "disarm" the situation). Absolutely NO criticism of any and all that are free of this problem, for sure, just giving my typical loudmouth point of view! All right, stick a fork in me, I'm done now. Best, Jackie.

Really? I don't regard being a switch as a particularly bad thing. But, I'm completely willing to apologize, and in fact I do, if anyone has found it offensive.
