So, I just asked my boss if we could leave early tomorrow (being as he's a grinch and I was quite positive we were going to work a full day on Xmas Eve). He asked "why"? I said, "well the weather was horrible this past weekend, and I know it's a crappy excuse but I never got to the supermarket because of it and I really could use getting home early to shop for some provisions haha" He actually said ok. I think I may faint. _____________________

To be honest, I looked at the list and wasn't surprised. There is a very large group of people that pat each other on the back all the time. If you're not part of that group, it's very difficult to get anywhere fast in the fashion industry. I'm not in the inner ring of that group, although I'm not on the outer ring either. Slowly working my way in...but I vow right now that I'll still continue to help my friends get ahead of the game. ETA: I admit that I was somewhat disappointed the Virtual Freebies didn't make the list. *sigh* Just think of it this way: SL is now global. Even a couple years back one could be known across the grid for their content. Today SL is huge and most will have never heard of anyone on that list. Now.. this list was created based on the nominations of a couple hundred (give or take) people. Of all those only a fraction nominated. Now out of those only another fraction will care to vote. So the winners of this list will be decided by less people then read your post today. How is that for you being well known in the community? _____________________

I've decided that going shopping for supplies for Christmas in the early hours, just to avoid the crowds is pointless. Not only was it busy, but we had to fight with the pallets and boxes as they restocked the shelves. 2 hours for a job that shouldn't have take 30 minutes.

Once Upon A Time...
A seed laid dormant 'neath the ground and at times did stir and reach out but was never properly fed- the sun did not reach it, or the water was not enough- it languished. One day, a ray of sun, cut thru the mists and reached below the ground its warmth enough to make the seed stir further.. tendrils reaching - coursing - it delved its way thru and finally broke the ground. Whitish-green leaflets... it moved the dirt and straining, did break thru.. The full sun beat down upon it.. stretching, it did reach out, leaves unfurling like tiny flags, stems arched and extended - fulfillment in a sunkiss - growing to fruition.. what it was always meant to be and finally - was...
