Permanent seating? The passengers can't leave? Reminds me of a science fiction story.

and a certain famous hotel in california.

'Ello everyone. :)

Lexxi.. thank you for the pics. Now I know what that ship looks like and the lovely visions that inhabit it. :)

Jerboa.. youtube and photoshop are not needed for you. You strung the words together into a touching tapestry of it's own art. Thank you and may your Christmas shine and your New Year be one of blessings. :) I am glad you found us.

Since tomorrow is Christmas Eve, and RL schedules will overcome all of us. I'm posting this now. :)

Over the past few months, I've come to view each of you as a good friend.

This thread is filled with some of the most wonderful people in Second...or any...life. You truly make the world a brighter place, and I am humbled, and honored to have come to know you.

No youtube, or fancy photoshop. No special building magic to impart as gifts. All I can offer this year is this post. As the holidays reach their peak, and this year fades to make way for another, I would like to wish you the warmest wishes from the bottom of my soul. This Christmas, each and every one of you hold a special place in my heart:

To:
Maureen - you shine like a beacon, lighting my way.
Honey - a true friend, and wonderful person
Amara, 3Ring, Elora, Lindal, Lil, Kaimi - Each post a gift to all of us, thank you!
Lexxi, Ann - Kitteh's to fear. My ears will never be the same! :D
Claire - The darling of the thread, and official jerboa-cage holder. :)
Damien, Yosef, Mac, Pep, Soji, Vamp, the absent Ghosty - the gentlemen of the thread, it would die without you
Brenda - strong, and enigmatic
Oryx, Gabriele, Rioko, Love, Roisin - I'd bend over backward for each of you

and of course the lovable little bundle of energy, Marianne! Who's weekly updates remind everyone how to stay young at heart.

Finally to the new faces: Key, Avawyn, Lewis(welcome to this side!) and all the others who I'm sure I've left out.

Christmas is finally here
Full of laughter, and joy, and good cheer
To the threadies I wish
This small holiday dish
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

*ears and whiskers quiver* So....where's the feast? Huh...huh? *bounce bounce* :D

(Edit: I hadn't moved Vamp to the right spot...sorry V. eep!)
There once was a lad named Jerboa
Who the girls of the thread thought a goer
His powder kept dry
'til he caught the eye
Of that smart sassy minx name of Mo! Ahhhhhhh!

Pep (A Christmas gift back to you Jerry!)

OMG - just back from the funniest lunch ever, with three of my co-workers, all women.

This is how the story was told, although I've left out a lot of the delays:

Mary was talking about her nephew and how he told his mother something about his sex life...

Well, it wasn't her nephew, it was her STEP-nephew, but has been a part of their life for a long time...

Another girl interrupted, "Is this the really cute nephew?"

"No, no, that's my real nephew... the one who lives in Rhode Island. Well, I shouldn't call him my REAL nephew... but yes, he is the one...."

And blah blah blah blah, and more questions about which nephew is which... and how they get along, and so on and so on...

All the while, I'm waiting for Mary to finally click back to the story she started with...

Until I can't stand waiting any more, and cry out, "Jesus Christ, Mary! What did your nephew DO!!!???"

Everybody starts laughing, and I said, "Really! The suspense is killing is me!"

Well, it turns out that this sixteen-year-old had his first sexual experience, and told his *mother* about it. He was uncertain about whether he'd done some things right...

AND HIS MOTHER, next time she's getting a pedicure with her sisters, she tells THEM, with all the details, just as if it's something she's seen on TV, and not her own.

Of course, it's not just the sisters who are listening, but the manicurists, and whoever else is in earshot...

Who wakes up sick two days before Christmas? Yep, you got it, and don't even get the luxury of laying in bed, because most of the support staff is on vacation this week and someone (read: me) has to be on the phones and get out a 240 letter mailout. *sigh*

My mom arrived from California yesterday...so my SL time is going to be severely curtailed until the 2nd of Jan. *sigh*

Can I please go back to bed now??
Ooooh... You poor baby. I hope it clears up very fast and you have a lovely Holiday even if it doesn't.

My scariest fog story was when I was living in Milan. In the winter the fog gets so thick, you can't see across the street. I remember looking out my apartment window and thinking someone had hung a sheet over it.

We had a friend who'd been out of commission for a long while, on account of a terrible car accident. She'd made an amazing recovery, was walking and driving again...

One night, after a party, I went back with her to her house, many miles away on road through the valley.

Of course, the fog was as thick as ever. It was like a dream. I couldn't see ANYTHING beyond the dashboard, and the cars coming from the opposite direction would suddenly appear when they were a few feet away. You couldn't see headlights or tail lights... nothing.

Plus, I didn't know the road at all, even if I had been able to see it.

My friend did, so she drove at 100 kilometers an hour, and talked to me the whole time.

"Oh there's a famous tower over there... and here is the river..."

I didn't dare to turn my head, and my mouth hung open the whole time, I was so frightened. My eyebrows nearly went to the back of my head, my eyes were open so wide.

"Oh, and here is where I had my accident!" she exclaimed.

Jesus Christ, did she have to *tell* me?

I suppose it would make a great roller-coaster ride... it scared me to death, and I was ready to kiss the ground (if it weren't so dirty) when I stumbled out of the car.
Very scary story - this is why I almost always want to be the one driving. Thank goodness you and your friend survived!

I don't know who these people are or most of the people on their list. Does this make me out of the loop or just one of many that have no clue who they are? A few things on that list I have to LOL at though. :D

Oh yes, the mice I am saving for later. I do tend to get somewhat peckish just around bedtime...
And speaking of rodents, I simply cannot emphasize this point strongly or often enough: There is no such thing as having too many mice!

 Eeep!! Barbarians....barbarians all!

*scurries back to his cage, locking the door safely behind him*

That entire list is invalidated by the fact that Gala isn't included with the female skins.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I thought the entire list was invalidated by the fact that Bloodlines is on it for Best Roleplaying! :D
