What's with the sudden influx of escort and/or stripper questions out there?

these are a few pix i took as we were driving back from our trip.

when we went over, it was dark, snowing and the road was WHITE. it took over 2 hours to get through this, which in summer normally takes about 45 minutes. also, we were (obviously) on the other side of the road (the cliffed side ) going over. these pictures make the road look tame and totally doable... nothing like it was last Wednesday night.

i've personally driven over this pass alone, and with family/friends so many times, i can't possibly count and give you an accurate number. this is, however, the first time i've done it in hazardous conditions (and the last, if i have anything to say about it). i know i'm making it sound scary, and that's because IT WAS. i was so scared, i got into a panic attack and could not get control. it was ugly, my friends. my weakness - fear of heights, falling, and pain. now you know. LOL

but, you can see why i was terrified. those curves and drop offs are unforgiving.

in these ones, i am now on cliff side going back. technically, this is the worst parts of the pass, and we were on the inside of the corners going over - plus the road is cambered towards the wall, so i that was one relief (amongst the 2 hour heart attack )

here is a couple of the lakes we fish at in the summer. the road was very treacherous here too, but i was either driving and focusing, or hiding my eyes and focusing on anything but the road so i didn't even see them on the way over. i do know it was snowing like a son of a gun when we went through. i bet it was beautiful, if it had been day. i just think this is such beautiful country.

3 - Where do you live? Parts of that look like the Rockies near me, though the spots that I'm most familiar with got about 30 inches of snow in the last 48 hours.

split 2/5 and got no hits. never played 9 or 4, and i don't recall them coming up. 13 came up 4 times while i was at the table. i got a couple hits on 0/00 and 17 too, so that kept me in the game for awhile.... but not enough to stay alive and take the casino for a profit. finally, they got my $$. but ooh i LOVE roulette. was fun!

OMG - The black kitty looks just like the one we have now and the other one looks like the one that passed away earlier this year.

i don't know if you checked, but i actually saw some stockings at the vendor in my mall today. they looked like textures, not primmies.

these are my two boycats. they are so special to me. if i was a cat, i'd marry Prince Chester. he is so sweet and snuggly and loving, and he likes me.

Jimi is the sickly kitten we adopted about 6 weeks ago. he's more than doubled in size since we got him, and sadly, he's been on meds since we got him too. he's our golden cat. very expensive.

today we finished that last of his meds, and even though he still has a cough, the vet says that as long as he is eating, drinking and being rambunctious, not to worry. but i do hate the cough. it makes me nervous. he is so adorable. he follows me everywhere, and he fetches. it's so damm cute.

i'm sorry about your loss. my heart sinks when i imagine it. my oldest cat is having issues walking now, and i know the time is coming.... i can't hardly bear to think about it. she is so feisty. she growls and hisses at her own shadow. hysterical!

i do not live in Colorado. i can't believe the pass is still open. usually, the ski resort (below this) is in full swing for Thanksgiving holiday and this part of the mountain is under 14' of snow by now. it's going to be a rough year for the tourist industry if we don't get some snow soon.

Those pictures of the mountain road in the snow are lovely, 3. But I can see how it could be very scary. Glad you made it home safely.

the pics don't even tell the story of the night's drive over. i'm sure that because it's so fresh, i'm over dramatizing. but, at those moments, i really was terrified. i'm such a baby.

we really wanted to get a new kitty for him to play with. he is always trying to engage my other cats, and the neighboring cats, but no one is interested. sadly, Jimi isn't all that interested either. he'd rather be with his humans. Chester is a good boy. such a love.

maybe i am thinking of a different movie (Brians Song). i am thinking of the football player who died from a terminal disease. been a few years now, since i've seen it. i don't even remember what disease it was.

i watched Simon Birch recently. OMG! what a tear jerker. my heart actually ached. so sad.
