Can anybody recommend a freebie vendor? I'm just wrapping up my first real script which I intend to give away, and would like to include a vendor as a way to distribute it.

While I'm here, perhaps I can get some suggestions on where it's appropriate to offer.

The script is a "strip script" (it allows you or others to remove your clothes), but unlike the ones I've seen before, uses the Restrained Life Viewer extensions (as found in Marine Kelley's viewer, or the very popular Cool Viewer). It doesn't need to be installed in prim clothing (and some prim clothing is no-mod anyway), and can be used to take off clothing layers as well as detach prims.

It has a simple "wizard" approach to setting up which takes about 30 seconds, and allows you to set up which clothing layers and attachments can be stripped, and which will be left alone (like neko ears, tails, hair, tattoos, etc). It can be set up once to work with most outfits, or can be customized to work on an outfit by outfit basis. It's fully copyable.

The script doesn't impose any RLV limitations in the user, so it won't mess up your "Wear", "Add to Outfit", etc. Nor does it act as an RLV relay, so you won't find yourself stuck in some cage accidentally or griefed in other ways.

The script is intended for occasions between lovers, and is completely chat-spam free, so it won't intrude in your intimate moments with silly or annoying messages.

Eata Kitty's Freebie Vendors have always served me well before I went with networked.

You can always look at OnRez, where you can throw the script in a box and drop it in their box that distributes. They offer free vendors too that network to your OnRez box so you can drop the vendor anywhere. Then you are offering it to the OnRez site as well.

For the most painless one though.. Eata Kitty has it. I will see if I have her vendor pack and drop it on you if so.

BTW, finding Eata's vendors is getting like a needle in a haystack thanks to all the stupid BIB places that advertise they have them and do not...

If anyone needs the EATA set check NCI's vendors out. They have them, though you will have to do some searching. Presently they are on the back wall, second vendor on the right.

Lear put a freebie vendor at the Hangout and I believe that the vendor itself is in there to be one of the freebies you can get. You can not only take a copy of that vendor there, but also put your freebie there.

Yes - I think all you have to do is drop the item in the contents of the vendor. It is sitting in front of the current freebie shelf, against the railing, has arrows to cycle thru the freebies in their, and then you just buy they one you want for L$0. I think that is how it works - been a while since I talked to Lear about it - possibly need the group tag active at the time to do it.

I choose my words *very* carefully . . .

Pep (. . . sometimes with an intent to cause ambiguity and confusion)

PS Surprised no-one noticed before - maybe everyone was too busy giving thanks

Or too busy concentrating on our coming feast.

A few may have been as I was, too exhausted dealing with relatives to check into anything virtual other than dreamland. Between my extended families and the tryptophan I slept like the dead. (which is surprisingly rare for me.)

If your ambiguity is intended, significantly more than a golf clap is deserved.

Yep, murder rate in US would be significantly higher this time of year if not for the sedative qualities of turkey :p

I'm not that much of a redneck. The face value meaning was the only intended one.
