One of the few children's things which really irked me. I have no kids, and when I used to babysit for my nieces and nephews it was the one thing which I absolutely refused to partake in. No ifs ands or buts.

Give me Sesame Street any day of the week. Or even Teletubbies (at least you can watch that stoned ;) )

I don't know....The song from "Blues Clues" might be just as bad :) Went through YEARS of listening to that program because of my autistic child who loved it. Btw, when my youngest daughter was about 3 or so, we had to sing that Barney song to her at bed and naptime, everyday. :eek:

The joys of home owner ship. Let's hope the next storm will be less nerve wracking for you and your car.

I just discovered that we have no water. I called the water dept and learned that it's because of a broken water main which will take about 12 hours to fix. :eek:
I've been worrying about this for years ever since I realized how old our system is. The weird thing is we were expecting them to turn off the water tomorrow because that's when they've been planning to replace the pipes around here - presumably including the one that just burst!


Bummer.

Hopefully, my home improvement work is done for the year, my home equity line of credit can't take too much more this year. Now I have to pay a visit to my financial guy and see how we can come up wit some ways to keep my modest nest egg from winding up in the hands of Comrade Pelosi and her minions once January Roll around.

They mostly sleep, but now and then an ear or a paw will twitch, then one of them will wriggle and start a chain reaction of wriggling. And a few minutes ago one of them had hiccups.

I'm doomed to be staring at this thing all night...
