Oh, I love my pair of Robin's barefoot socks! No more of that weird flesh color inside the ankles of your pants if you wear wide-bottomed trousers. (Most wide pants legs and sleeves are prim now, probably just because of that awful glitch.) I also wear the bare-hand gloves with a couple of shirts I have with wide sleeves. Can't praise them highly enough!

(And I could be mistaken, but it seems like when I got mine they were a free item. If not, they're definitely worth shelling out for!)

I was at Robin's and could not find them. :(

Any idea?

To clarify, I am part of a private group founded by one user (whose name I won't mention) whose members have to be committed to being barefoot in SL. It's like a belief, only it's SL.

Oh okay. Well the answer could've been anything, in SL. Lol

(About fixing the flesh color pants cuff glitch, I hear Nano Gunk has something but I can't even find the shop. But if anyone can, try there.)

Looking for a barefoot club?

As a matter of fact, I founded the private club. We have a few members who are best friends in RL, and are "sisters" in SL.

I've been barefoot for three years,
I tried wearing a pair of sneakers once, but someone tied my shoelaces together and I fell on my face, I swore then, never again!!

I'm trying to think how to give directions, since I'm not sure where a search will route you...

When I came in for Marianne's fireworks show last night, I landed in front of a school-type building that was actually a store. Directly behind me was a tree in a planter, and then Robin's small shop. First room had Hawaiian shirts and jeans - to the right, near the shirts, was a sign selling the barefoot socks. They are still 0L$.

I'm going to be inworld later today - I'll try to drop by there and send you a direct LM if you want.

I'm sure it's a photoshop and the original panel said something like "Athlete's Foot".

there's a whole series of odd science fair images, one obvious photoshop, but most of them seem legit. (it probably wasn't about actual foot fetishes, the signs are mostly to get attention, so more likely it was something mundane like calluses and dry skin)

Even at beach-party type events I usually wear sandals. I only go barefoot ... ummm .. in bed.

This^^ I have a pair of very flat sandals I wear if I'm at the beach or for very casual wear. I recently won a pair of flip-flops in a lucky chair, so they may replace the sandals for the beach.

I enjoy flat shoes and have some really pretty ones I wear with the right look.

Evening gowns, always heels, but I do enjoy pumps rather than the sandal type of heels.

I have been collecting flats lately and found some really nice ones at Shiny Things - where have you been getting yours?

My favorite pair (Ocha Brocade Slippers) I purchased when Orchid Dreams was going out of business. It's amazing how many of my outfits they match. Others I have received as part of complete outfits.

I think Ztique has some pretty flats. I haven't been there in awhile but iirc she offers some interesting ones.

Those are off the top of my head, but I have been seeing more flats/ballet type slippers in several shoe stores. Will keep you posted if I find some nice ones. :)

When I was a wee noob, I recall seeing huge signs: "Fly Barefoot!" They seemed to be calling for us to make some sort of political statement, but made no sense to me. I figured I was just too new to understand it, so I filed it away under stuff I'd understand someday and laugh about what a dopey noob I had been.

I'm still waiting. :o

irony perhaps over the whole "take your shoes off to have them inspected" ?

other than that I'd be confused too

Briana (and anyone else interested), I just ran across some cute Polkadot Ballerina Shoes with a cute bow as well as another pair of flats called "With All My Heart" (with little hearts on them).

The Polkadot shoes advertise 140 colors and color change bow with chat command. Cost is 80L - Mod/Copy. They are on the second floor of a store called *~*Hopscotch~*~.

ETA: I've just seen "Fishing Flip Flops" there as well that look nice. And on the "odd" side: "Waterwalk" - and aquarium within a shoe (not flats of course) and "Canary Cage Heels" with, you guessed it, a prim canary in the heel. I'm sort of starting to like the Waterwalk ones...lol.
