I am only ever barefoot on a beach and even then I might have on a pair of slip in canvas shoes or a pair of sandals. I absolutely hate the SL avatar toes, so the only open toe shoes I will wear is a few pairs of peep-toe pumps and the J's toe-shoes, which I pretty much live in.

I grew up as a barefoot boy in RL, still a genuine barefoot guy, always have been and not going to change now. In SL, always barefoot, but will wear shoes when I have too, formal occasions and such. I just wish our little avatars had some decent feet, some day maybe, eh?

Since barefoot is something I can't do often in Alaska, I go barefoot most of the time in SL. When I'm not barefoot, I'm wearing moose slippers.

I go barefoot in SL all the time. Ever since I joined back in late-November, I've been barefoot every single time, except for one rare occasion last week when I wore sandals. Normally I wear dresses, slacks, skirts, but no shoes. Heck, I even wore a purple sweater shirt combo with purple plaid skirt last time I logged onto SL yet I still went barefoot!

Normally I wear dresses, slacks, skirts, but no shoes. Heck, I even wore a purple sweater shirt combo with a purple plaid skirt last time I was online yet I still went barefoot! Same here! I am a barefoot regular on SL also (hence my custom user title)! In dresses, skirts, swimsuits, jeans, sweaters, even business suits, but you'll have a better chance of winning 100,000 lindens than seeing me in shoes. Whether at the beach, scuba diving, or even at the disco on Saturday nights, don't expect to see me in shoes any generation soon! However, I did make one appearance in high-heel sandals last September, but other than that I've been shoeless since I made my SL debut last summer. |

I go barefoot in RL most of the time since the climate where I live is relatively mild even during winter. I like the feel of cool tiles, grass and even soil under my feet.
Strangely enough, I am almost obsessive about keeping my av shod in-world - even if it's just a pair of socks. |

I started SL just recently, and after learning about some users going barefoot frequently on SL, I decided to jump on the barefoot bandwagon as well!
Shoes are "taboo" (yes, even flip-flops) for avatars like myself no matter where I go in SL. And like some of us barefoot avatars, I do still appear on dresses, skirts, jeans, tops, etc. The best thing about it is, it saves me lindens and prims! |

As I hit the 'Submit' key, I thought, wonder who will be the first to object to stilettos and swim suits not going together.... It's a 'different' type of look, though, appropriate for some places but pool/beach lounging? Swimming, sailboating? /me pulls stiletto heel out of the crack in the sailboat bottom for the 100th time.... no heels allowed on any "proper" boat. even a fashion supermodel hits the ground with several tons if all her weight rests on two little spots of 1/4 cm². |

Are there any avatars who go barefoot regularly in SL? Feel free to post here! It's a bit of a savings, being a blacksmith._____________________

Too much dogpoo in the Netherlands to go barefeet. Yeah, we have doggiebags, but no, we don't have a policeman standing on the corner of every street.

Since my bare feet are ugly, I prefer shoes. For boats and just messing around, I love my HOC Chucks...can change the colors too. I have an awesome pair of desert boots to wear with shorts, and a decent pair of slides for the beach.
I recently got a Linden $ windfall, so I just spent an insane amount of money at the Stiletto Moody presale on shoes with feet and toes. But If someone knows a good barefoot "shoe" I'd consider that! I love barefoot in RL as well. |

Depends on the outfit for me.
I've been noticing lately that shoes in SL seem to cost a lot more than outfits. Harder to model? _____________________

A pain to model, lol Model. As in 3D modeling, as in making them. Am I just unlucky in where I look for shoes, or are they really so pricey, and if so why? _____________________

Am I just unlucky in where I look for shoes, or are they really so pricey, and if so why? Because they can get away with it, most likely. Although certain other luxury items like ballgowns are often very pricey too. What do you call expensive and what type of shoes do you like? Maybe we can all compare notes. I've been getting some really good freebies lately. Am wearing a pair of espadrilles I got with a red dress free at Hair Fair and I don't want to take any of it off. Also the DSN thing has been sending out some good stuff. Shiny Things back room is only $100 per pair. _____________________
