I would build something, that in a few weeks would become something else, then in a few weeks becomes something else... rinse and repeat

I just like building LOL

but as someone else said I do not have a sim, and unless I hit the lottery I will have to keep it in my dreams

I'd add it to Robin's estate, so we could have more land to play with. Really, I'd love to ring the existing island with additional regions and openspaces. That way I could put in a proper boat dock and a horse riding area, and lots more places to explore an do stuff in.

I might also move off the mainland.

Except a boat.

Nevermind designing a new one, he couldn't fix the Goddamn one they had already.

There's a reason they couldn't fix the boat

Already been there, SIM 2.0 was an island divided into 26 parcels, there was no rent or tier or in fact any cost to own land. The land was paid for by sponsors, but sadly it needed more sponsors and ended after 9 months of operation, many players got a chance to use a parcel, probably near to 40 people in total.

I would build a large multi-level D&D-style dungeon (i.e., a dungeon for orcs and dragons; not BDSM), using sculptie and regular prim walls. With 15,000 prims, I'm sure I could get ten or so levels, with a large cavern and lake on the lowest level. I'd tinker with it, and let anyone wander about.

What would you build on it? Also can a private island consist of more then one region?

ach so many people want to build beachfront places, there are so many in SL already and never anyone on them. i should not complain tho, i used to have one myself.

to own my own sim would be wonderfull. if i had one right now i would take long service leave and continue the project i'm already on, but not have to suffer by mainlands terraforming boundries and only 3000 or so prims, there is so much more i could do with the build i have now *sigh* o well, just keep buying those lotto tickets

Forest, streams, rocky outcrops, trails...wildlife. Log cabin in the woods. Beaches are overdone...everyone seems to be into them. I want mayflowers and nature.

That's exactly my thoughts. I don't need my own sim, then. I'll just come visit yours!

Sunny, come on over, I have deer, waterfalls, horses in a pasture, chickens, gardens and ponds. Actually my partner and I will be finished landscaping in a week or so and we are opening it up to the public. We only have 12,000 m but we want to make a pool side chat and people can roam around our land.

I'd probably relocate the shop and use my current holdings for something nice and residential...

1 Goal of mine- An Amish Sim!

I love the irony!!!

Amish SL = no fancy skins, no fancy scripts, no fancy builds. Just plain & simple. Camping chairs would involve milking cows, working the fields, barn raising for the men/ quilting circles for the ladies.

By keeping things "plain & simple", it'd also cut out alot of Lag. I'd probably rent out living space too, for those looking for a "Simple Life in SL"

And we'd RP too! But the opposite of Gor RP!! Not much sex, but plenty of work, work, work... and church.

Ok, It'd also be educational. Not everyone gets to live in Amish Country (and think WTF are these people thinking??)

My 2nd Idea would be a Giant Polka Dance Hall. Heh! Can't live in Pennsylvania and not know how to Polka!! :D

My 3rd Idea would be a replica of Pittsburgh.... but I doubt LL would enjoy a Giant Rectum for a Sim :D

Yupyup, Im hoping finally with the new open sim I might be able to do something like this. Id dearly love to recreate the lake villages that were unearthed near Glastonbury.

Then Id plan to recreate the Roman Baths in Bath, then maybe the Crescent or better still the Circle designed by John Wood (but that would take big style mathematics and a full sims prims).

The victorian pier at Clevedon. It remains the only intact Grade 1 listed pier after Brighton's West Pier partially collapsed in December 2002 and then suffered a major fire at the end of March 2003.

The LLandogger Trow in Kings Street Bristol which was the pub purported to have been the base for the Spyglass Inn from R L Stevensons Treasure Island (which is why all pirates speak like Bristolians and not the other way round aaarrrr)

Wells Cathedral

SS Great Britain

Clifton Suspension Bridge

The Matthew (the ship John Cabot sailed out of Bristol to Newfoundland in 1497)

Ok thats enough for now...but theres a load more:))

Industry drives profit. You know what drives industry? OIL. First, I'd log off the island, then mine any minerals I could out of the land. Then I'd sink the whole thing and put off shore oil rigs all over the place. Don't worry about the weather or currents. I'd surround it with a fragile, highly sensitive coral reef teeming with endangered species.

I could have single shelled oil tankers from all of the continents pull up next to my rigs and fill up with glorious, glorius black gold, then I could buy the captains lots of drinks to celebrate and immediately throw them out to sea to make room for the next oil tankers. they can sober up as they sail. Of course, I'd have to eat out there, so I would buy a trawler and sein net huge chunks of the ocean. Sanitation wouldn't be a problem because I could just throw my stuff overboard and it would sink to the bottom where I don't have to look at it.

Anyway - offshore oil drilling would be the way to go until the US Government and NASA showed up and told me there was a meteor plunging towards the earth and the only hope was for me and my crew to go up there and detonate a nuclear bomb right in the middle of it. Then that goddamn Ben Affleck would get to marry my daughter, Liv Tyler.

Hmmm. All of this sounds familiar. (Except the Pittsburgh thing....I'm way east of that) You also need roads where random horse and buggies will crop up in front of you and go 2 miles an hour, around curves. It will force people to slow down and enjoy the sim.

Id invite 16 people, divided into 2 tribes of 8

Id then let them struggle and fight it our through weird made up games and challenges, making the losing team vote one off each week.

Then when they were down to half size Id merge the tribes and make them struggle it our individually.

While this was all going on I would have soliloquys where different contestants got to gloat or bad mouth the other residents of the island.

Id film the whole thing, of course.

Just need to come up with a name for it.

I'm with several other posters here. My island would change every few months.

1. The most alien place I can imagine complete with roaming 12 legged behemoths, singing "plants", hive-mind pollen clouds, a banyan-like "tree" that's like a huge jungle gym stretching from horizon to horizon with limbs you could walk on. You know, the usual stuff.

2. An afterlife island where you have to come as a figure from history. I'd be Beethoven. I'd like to see Van Gogh dancing with Janis Joplin.

3. I'd like to see Rivendell. There is a Lothlorian in Sl, and it's very nice, but is mostly shops. I'd like to see a more accurate depiction of Tolkien imagery.

4. I'd enjoy some other classic SF/fantasy builds - Barsoom. Rama, Ringworld, Shalmirane. I realize some of these may be pretty obscure references.

The list goes on and on . . .but I'm having trouble pulling off what I want to do with just my 4096 plot.

A number of child avs
And one doomed piggie

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

How about a sim where men could take a canoe trip....one could look like a young Burt Reynolds. Yes, that's it. Then they'll meet a bunch of degenerate in-breds.....someone could squeal like a pig.....

I'm picturing this and.....erm, maybe not. Nevermind.

Another vote for somewhere to ride horses. Plus, I'd move my entire business structure to it (as much as I really like my landlord and sim now). Ah, spread-out room!
