Traffic Bots Against the TOS of LL?

By this time, you have an attitude, but you haven't stooped to belittling people. In #391 you start to make it personally insulting with, "Now I know why Phil thinks what he does is in everyone's best interests...it is because he has a massive God complex." You didn't like my views, so you started with the personal insults.

A little later you took a break, but when you came back, you started with the belittling comments. You may not have recognised one of them that I repeated a few posts back, because you asked me to write one. You probably thought it was meant at you right now. It was this - "You probably don't know how ridiculous you make yourself look." That was one one of them. Something to do with a 12 year old was another.

You started it Gabriele, and you didn't stop with the posts that I numbered above. Initially, you didn't like being lumped in with everyone else - as greedy, so you started with some small personal insults. I didn't retaliate at that time so perhaps you thought you could continue later.

You brought her into this, not me. If you offer her up as proof that you are always right then expect what you get.

My comments were generally about bot farmers - not you personally, until you made it personal. Shame that, if you had wanted a discussion you could have had one before that point.

Now do you want to admit you lied about my RL which will result in me trying not to talk about your Mother again (unless you bring her up again) or not? Just want to know seeing as you asked about it.

Nope another viable solution is to police a good policy against cheating in the system. They seem prepared to do it over other things and they should with this too. They even might once they feel they have the resources to focus on it.

Before your time, mass camping took place...it had the same effect of massaging Places search listing as it does now with traffic bots.

If they banned Traffic bots tomorrow....mass camping will be back. The same people that appeared top of Places Seacrh will more and likely be top again.

LL will never ban real AV camping, it existed before...and it still exists now. The only time LL will step in is on a Mainland sim that is drainng resources from other residents that use the that sim.....i guess its similar to existing scenario with Traffic bots.

LL does not have the manpower to police 25000 sims for real camping (real AV's) nor would they unless an AR was received on a Mainland sim like what happened at Bear Info hub on another long winded thread. On a private estate sim, LL would never intervene
as the Estate Owner can do more or less as /she pleases within the TOS...and normal paid camping is not against TOS....and has never been.

If LL doesn't even have enough resources to deal with the far more important issues of copybots and content theft....or can't even deal with the growing number of AR's in a timely fashion, you have absolutely no hope of expecting Lindens to appear on private Estates trying and enforce a non-existant LL policy of not allowing camping.

The bottom line, abolishing traffic bots is not the answer....it will just return full circle to paid camping. The places Search would remain gamed.

The only long term solution is to abolish traffic units....thus rendering both Traffic bots and paid camping meaningless.

its not long time ago and i was pretty new - uninformed
i was woundering bout the deserted sims with a lot of green dots on i never reached their location, i was on overcowded campplaces without any chat cos bots dont chat - as a newbie you feel stupid.

now im informed or mabye somewhat better informed as in the past
for me -> i wont buy stuff from a cheater, whos cheating in listings will cheat in products (stolen stuff?, copied stuff?, textures?...) too

Basically it steals other people creations.

copy bots can duplicate prims and take copies of used textures, it also can copy avi shapes so in the end you get a duplicate of what ever was targetted
