No you see again how you fail language 101 - you said SL girls - who half the time are actually boys. There is not indication you know anything about real girls at all. Certainly not if you bring your Momma along everywhere.

What I did? How many times does it have to be said? You will even argue that blue is pink soon. Show me where I started it then because everyone else sees my initial comments that are general and then you reacting all like it is personal. You need some stronger meds I think.

The point that has been ommitted from this thread (or maybe i have missed it)
and taking Chip's view on how unethical it is to game traffic through the use of Bots....is that ever since i've been in SL, Places Search and the ex-Popular Places tab have been gamed to death.
Exactly the same was happening back then by using real AV campers and paying them miniscule amounts.....it had exactly the same impact on Places Search.....those that had larger plots of land could provide more camping spaces.....just like they can provide more spaces to Bots now.

Why the great hoohah about traffic bots? 40 campers moving around with all the attachments and scripts present a heavier load on the SIM resources then it does 40 Bot light clients stuck in the air at 700 m. That is an undisputable fact

You could argue...well at least he would be paying for that higher placement, because he's paying x number of campers per day for it........but we overlook that using a 2nd PC to load these Bots costs a certain amount to run in just electricity costs, not to mention wear and tear on that PC......plus by all accounts buying those Bots ain't cheap either.

We could also factor in that money given to campers is invariably recycled back into the economy which is a good thing! Unfortunately that part is not even true...as people created a number of ALTS simply to use as campers and withdraw cash out of the game.
It's a common complaint amongst real AV campers that they lose their places to these scripted ALTs.

Anyway, regardless of what people think.....Places search has been gamed as far back as i can remember.....the worst culprits appeared on Popular Places tab. So the point i'm trying to make that Phil is not the catalyst for degradation of the Places Search....its been happening for years.

If BOTs were banned tomorrow.....we'd just go back to mass camping and the same people at the top of Places Search now ..will just reappear at the top again. So we need to expand this argument and not only chastise Bot runners but those that choose mass camping too. By Chip's definition....both would be unethical as they both manipulate traffic scores.

The only viable solution is to remove traffic as a measure.

About me knowing about real girls: you are probably right. I can't say that I understand them all that well. What I can say is that I've more of them sexually than many have had hot dinners.

Now, even though we're having a slanging match, I would appreciate it if you would leave my mother out of it. She died a few years ago, and I'd rather she isn't used in this way. I wrote something that she used to say, and that's all. Please stick to talking about me, and leave family members, alive or dead, out of it. Thank you.

Nope another viable solution is to police a good policy against cheating in the system. They seem prepared to do it over other things and they should with this too. They even might once they feel they have the resources to focus on it.

I am awaiting on him to decide from above whether he wants to do that after asking me not to bring his Mother into the conversation.

LOL thanks and i never take things harshly or personally, 10 years in the Military taught me how to behave its just a shame that a debate just degrades here rapidly even with different opinions. Robin has already acknowledged the problems with the search and gaming.

The real issue is what do they do about it?

The new search was their attempt. So it didn't work out as planned.

It doesn't mean they favor gaming, it just means they are bad (or lax) about correcting the problem.

As for the fighting - Something to think about ---

Doesn't matter who is in a thread disagreeing with Phil, they all turn out this way.

While all these people fighting with him manage to have other peaceful threads which they contribute to all the time.

You didn't like my views, so you started with the personal insults.

A little later you took a break, but when you came back, you started with the belittling comments. You may not have recognised one of them that I repeated a few posts back, because you asked me to write one. You probably thought it was meant at you right now. It was this - "You probably don't know how ridiculous you make yourself look." That was one one of them. Something to do with a 12 year old was another.

You started it Gabriele, and you didn't stop with the posts that I numbered above. Initially, you didn't like being lumped in with everyone else - as greedy, so you started with some small personal insults. I didn't retaliate at that time so perhaps you thought you could continue later.
