Calling creators

I join openlife, please creators come along and make some creations. There doesnt seem to be anything to buy there, you will make a killing and I need to purchase hair and clothings.

because there is no economy yet and every one just trying to help eachother

there are a few freebie places with the latest going up yesterday

I tried going there to release some of my old stuff so the grid has some more options but I could not move and kept crashing. When I finally got to a freebie place there was content that is stolen content from Second Life.

Also I couldn`t figure out how land works. It seems you have to purchase land and being that there is no economy, I would be paying out of my own pocket.

I also wonder how "safe" the grid is in terms of permissions. It seemed a little wonky. I had a hard time walking and changing my shape - 2 very simple things.

Yes, until there is a working permissions system and a real economy, no one is going to 'make a killing', heh

The moment scripts can be trusted there, and there is some sort of economy and $ to act as a medium of exchange, N&B Exports will move there and start producing.

I like the idea of giving away stuff. I'm not a communist, but I'd rather create than be a business person. However, it would require that I could log in for more than five minutes and actually go somewhere.

Not until openlife progresses some more. Until then, it's advertising for LL.

youll see Massive influx of new business once its proven. I go there once a week to see how its progressing. its not that I want to Leave Sl I see a HUGE market bonaza as Im sure does everyone else if this occurs.

The key really is in stability and security for intellectual property. As much as can be had in SL, anyway.

Agreed. SL's protections are far from perfect and by no means secure but OpenLife has nothing that can be trusted at the moment.

protection is SL is a joke, DMCA is worthless as asset uuid`s aren`t remove so you can continu stealing with 10000 more alts if needed heh

I used to have an account there, but I can't even remember my name........it's been that long ago. I got to get active there.

Money enables content. My small business makes enough to cover tier. Tier on a parcel that supports a school that teaches free classes on how to create content in SL. I make no profit. If it were not for the income in SL there would be no tier money, there would be no school. I give back as much as I take from SL and provide a place for others to learn and have fun. Many other business owners I know provide content in SL with their earnings from business. Content that countless residents enjoy, that give them a place to go and entertainment in SL. Not everyone has pockets as big as their heart, but the in-game economy makes it possible for them to share. Don't paint everyone with the brush of greed...
