So, my boyfriend and I are in one of his/our homes today, having some intimate time but we forgot to lock up. In comes a women, and we were polite to her but it was very obvious we were, umm, busy. But she stays there conversing as if we're having a sandwich, and tells us she' has been to his house before when he wasn't there.
Now, said boyfriend is a pleasant sort, and he's trying not to insult her so he says to her that she can come by and use his home anytime we're not there, but we're busy so, could she leave. But, instead of leaving, she calls on another friend! And this friend, is a huge pest and start using all the poseballs in the bedroom and telling him to f--k her! Of course, he's not having that, and because of that now she's calling him impotent!
The first women skaddled out of there, but the second women is now intent on doing whatever she can to piss us off. I'm getting seriously annoyed by this time. She's laying on the floor carrying on and i finally went over to her and adamently told her she was being rude, that we were very nice in saying they could use the house but now we'd had enough. He finally managed to push her out the door, and he locked it and closed all the blinds.
I can tell you, it really got me going! i'm usually pretty calm myself, but the blood was rushing out of me! Grrr!
I was fuming over this! I mean the nerve! Obviously to me, these two did this on purpose - this was no accident that they showed up in the house. My boyfriend, being the calm soul he is, really thought it was all accidental and just got out of hand until i pointed out to him that the 2nd women was "born" like a day ago!
Anyhoo - what is the best way to handle this. We have both of their names. Ignore it, send an abuse report, what?
All in a normal day of SL lol.

I hate bringing a dead horse to the party .. But Ban lines would have prevented this.

he does not want ban lines on his property - he does not mind people coming by at all - but this was crazy! And a first.

Ban them. Don't bother with an AR, from what you said there's nothing solid to support an AR. Regarless of whether anyone thinks it should be an AR offense, walking uninvited into someones house WITHOUT circumventing any privacy restrictions, not even a locked door, and then being annoying isn't something that LL can or will do anything about.

You can manage the ban list in the "About Land' menu you can get just by right clicking on the land. Or from the menus on top of the screen.
Its towards the back of the tabbed options on the land control menu.

in the land settings, in the last tab, you can simply ban only those two avatars. no one else will see or be affected by the ban lines, except those 2 avatars.

Right-click>Eject on the av, then ban. Or freeze them, dress them up, and take pictures. THEN eject and ban.

Does he own or rent? If he has the correct permissions, he could have right clicked the AV, found ban/eject on the second pie and removed the pests.

Assuming it's land you own or at least have land powers on, you can right-click on the petty griefers if they come back with new griefing alts, click on more on the pie-chart that comes up, and click freeze, then eject, and then ban them, and they will be gone again, no muss, no fuss.
If they stand outside your ban lines and spew, you may have to get...
...I was going to say, get a good orbiter, but that would be wrong, wouldn't it. My bad ; )

I would strongly suggest that your bf take a class on land ownership to become aware of all the powers and options, or to read the knowledge base.... or just play with About Land.

Lock your house tight with security, possibly only allow a list of guest to come by or prehaps a group?
Peace of mind is priceless.

Good idea Cristalle - I will certainly mention that to him! I think he has kind of glossed over all of that and considering he owns several homes, it would behoove him to get more information.

You can get a good basic security system for only L$1 at: Black Box Security, Power Products Inc., Abydos (71, 139, 27) It does not however work on group land.

Um..... what about just getting a security orb....you can set it to push un-wanted guests and add whom ever you want so they wont get pushed. They're extrmely effective and easy to use....and you can turn the orb on or off at will so you only have to use it when it's really important you not be disturbed. No ugly ban lines...and the property can still be open to explorers while you're not there.
I have an orb...I rarely ever have it on....but it's great if I am home and someone shows up and becomes a pest....I just turn on the security orb and they get booted.....problem solved. They really are the best solution beyond ban lines....which again are so ugly and kind of, I don't know, over kill IMHO. Every time I see ban lines I can't help but think....gees...got some paranoia going on or what...and it's almost insulting....like a big "NOONE IS WELCOME" sign on your land. *shrug* Try an Orb...it's a great product.

Security systems are for the weak. Freeze, humiliate, boot and ban. Its just much more fun.
